Charlie, just wanted to say thank you for sharing with all of us. I will definitely be contacting you to inquire about your classes. You may see me and Gary (Circleville Signs) in the very near future. Best wishes to you!

Like many here, all I can say is WOW!!! Charlie, you are truly a talented person and would love to keep seeing more of your work and hearing of your process. Heck, I may contact you about coming out there and attending a class in the near future. Very cool sir, very cool!!!
  3. Casket Wrap (COFFIN)

    Interesting...
  4. Dry Ice Blasting... wow waaay COOL!

When I worked in the offset printing world there were guys who would blast presses with dry ice to clean up years of grease and ink off the frames/gears, etc. Was nice because you didn't have a big mess of chemicals/solvents to clean up. The dry ice would just evaporate and all that would be...
  5. Vehicle Wrap

Have you ever wrapped a vehicle?
  6. Hi All

    Welcome from Columbus!
  7. Box Truck Vinyl....

For me, IJ-180 on everything vehicle wise. UNLESS the stipulation is made that it is for a very short term or specialty promotion period and will then be removed. Honestly, using IJ-40 with a cast lam like 8518 might save you $100-$200 on a big box truck. Not worth it in the long run.
  8. Sayin Hello from Ohio

    Howdy from Columbus!
  9. Vinyl Graphics Removal Fluid?

Hmm, I've seen the same results using aircraft stripper - but no way you can touch it with your bare hands... Would love to know too!
  10. Oops 5 million $ down the tubes

Helicopters, tanks, planes, etc. are all easily replaced whereas a soldier's life is not. Thankfully some family didn't receive a letter over this. Mistakes and accidents happen - we're all human.
  11. Best material to fill in HDU?

Looks like the ends were painted, so I'm really not sure what caused it, but there is definitely a gap. Again, just looking for the best way to fill it in and be able to sand it down smooth and re-paint.
  12. Best material to fill in HDU?

I have a customer who has a sign that has been up for several years that is approx 2' x 15' and made of some type of 2" HDU. It is a simple sign and just has a routed edge, routed border and applied vinyl graphics. They are doing a small name change and want it re-painted and re-lettered...
  13. Date Cutter from MI

    Welcome to a great forum!
  14. FLA unearthed multiple violations of the labor law at Apple factories

Whether it's Apple or any other company,I think you're living in a bubble if you don't believe that the majority of Chinese "factories" are exactly like the sweatshops we had here in the USA back in the late 1800's. *You do realize all the cheap banner material and many other sign-related...
  15. Box Truck Panels don't line up

Not lining up how? Vertically or the overlap isn't matching up? Also, what type of material, and what size are your panels?
  16. illy arggghhh

    Double yup. :thumb:
  17. best bulk system?

Was the JetBest ink for your 1624? I didn't think you could use that ink because the 1624 has a totally different head than the 1204/1304/1604/1614 series. I use JetBest in my 1204 and it works just as well if not better than OEM, plus no color shift and the inks were plug and play with OEM.
  18. I cant get a ValueJet 1204 Mutoh to print right!

First, please post a nozzle test. What settings are you using? (Heat, resolution, number of passes, etc.) What material?
  19. Vinyl Express III 72" eco solvent

Says the guy who is still afraid of bulk ink.... *kidding* :Big Laugh
