  1. Exterior dry-erase?

I'm not certain of a specific dry erase but I have tried the dry erase markers on an anti-graffiti laminate that 3m sells from their traffic safety division and it worked well. If you need the model number, I can get it for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Need Help Just started screen printing again

If you had just made that screen for this run, I have found that sometimes, you think it's washed out but it will have an extremely tiny, thin layer of emulsion still in the holes. It actually looks to me like water in the screen when I check it but it's emulsion or extremely diluted emulsion in...
  3. PS and colors

Are you saving everything as cmyk or rgb? I would put money on it that you are running 2 different adobe color profiles in the software before you ever get it to your rip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Applying graphics to 4x8 sheet by ones self

I lay the vinyl on the substrate and line it up, then remove about a foot of backing paper and use the big squeegee to mount that. Then I run the remainder through the laminator. Sometimes if we have too much stuff around the laminator, I'll put the piece on the floor and use the big squeegee...
  5. PS and colors

I don't have a Roland but I am wondering if you are converting the output to cmyk before saving as a PDF. Photoshop natively works in RGB mode. I would bet that you have illustrator defaulting to cmyk mode so you are saving files in two different color profiles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. keeping lamination straight

I always use a leader board. What I did find though, is that most people I talked to don't properly load the media. The media needs proper tensioning to make it pull straight as much as the laminate needs to pull evenly. Make sure you wind the media back under the tiller that is under the media...
  7. Need Help Font help please

Need to find this font or something similar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Ribbed trailer nightmare

As far as application, I'm curious if the material was bridged across the rivers or fed up and down the ridges. Calendared vinyl "could" have worked possibly if it wasn't stretched into the valleys though there would likely still be some tenting with the rivets. I don't know that the material...
  9. Measurement app?

Exactly. That's why I love the Stanley smart measure. I needed to measure this sign a couple weeks ago and it's 25 minutes from the shop. Didn't want to take the bucket since I was only swapping an old panel for the jacks donuts panel but the panel is too high off the ground to use a step...
  10. Measurement app?

I have done very well with the Stanley smart measure. You have to be sure to try to take the pic while on the on the same plane as the item. I used it from over 200' away to shoot one building and it was accurate within 2" on a building that was 125' wide. I take multiple photos with it and also...
  11. PVC Sign longer than 10'

Search for polycarbonate reel stock. Nglantz, Meyer plastics, tubelite, grimco and many others sell it. It's not cheap so he may decide he prefers the seam but if he goes this route, you can at least "roll" it up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. HELP PLEASE!!!

I ran it through Vector magic and it took care of most of your problems. Now you need to go in and clean up the junk from all the dots on the barrel.
  13. Similar to Impact?

I need to find this font. It's very close to Impact font, but the base of the capital R is different as well as the arm of the lower case r. I see some other extremely subtle differences as well.
  14. L25500 prints too dark - any ideas,please?

I know the l25500 can do perfect yellows as I still use that printer daily. It has to be in your profile. Are you running Onyx with "all color profiles on" or a different setting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Suggestions 25K Budget what printer??

Nice to know about he 365 printing edge to edge. I am not familiar with any other printers doing that. To add to the OP question, I started with 1st gen latex. I still have a love/hate relationship with her. I am running 3rd part inks at $69 per cartridge and cranking out prints everyday. The...
  16. Equipment prefrence

Who told you about the power requirement causing you the need to upgrade? That's extremely far fetched. Even first gen was only 2-220 circuits with both under 15 amps each. You got bad info. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Need Help Black creating lawnmower lines

When you say test print, do you mean nozzle check? Obviously in your second photo, it's clear you have clogged nozzles which is causing your "lawnmower lines" which is actually referred to as banding. If you search for banding, you will find a wealth of knowledge. Now if your nozzle check is...

  20. Best Printer For Indoor Vinyl

I'm with TomK. Change profiles. Check the resolution of the print and resolution you are printing at. For a decal the size of those paint cans, you are going to be better off with super high resolution, high pass, possibly unidirectional prints. Not sure it will save you any money over doing...
