I don't think he means actual job files....he means the jobs that sit in the RIP till you delete them. Yes we save every file. I clean out the RIP every Monday morning. There is no need to keep all the completed print jobs.
And also what resolution is this being saved as? For a sign that big, 100 DPI would suffice and shouldn't be over 200MB. And if you can save as a slightly compressed JPG I bet you can get down below 100MB easy.
Hmm, interesting. I assume the OP meant printed decals, so yeah, small cut letters was never in question...of course you wouldn't use it for that. But hard hats....why not? Especially for the customer to install...they appreciate bubble free vinyl. Bumper stickers? We do them all the time. Car...
