^ This. Bill Crowley is a stand up guy and even puts his cell number on his business card. I like their products, even though it has a more "even" look to it (read: machine made) than the Sign Gold, which to me had a more hand turned look to it.

Unless you have the programs and computing power to do photo realism in 3D (think modern animation), it ain't gonna happen, especially turning something like that into a vector. You can't vector a mesh unless you want a million layers of color. Since you're in Australia, maybe a phone call to...

Same thing, different owners. The guy that started Sign Gold took the technology and improved on it and started Real Gold Inc. Processes are the same, surface textures and quality are far different. Weirdly, I rather prefer Sign Gold as it has more imperfections than Real Gold, lending a little...

Huh? Looks like the wrap was peeled off - the second photo looks like the adhesive left over. As for the paint chipping - that's new paint over old, not a clear coat. If it's been three years and your customer decided to try to remove it by himself, how is that your problem?

I've gotten away with vinyl spackle and a couple good coats of sandable primer. You don't want anything harder than the HDU or it'll sand completely different.

WTF? Some people just have nothing better to do. Kinda weird though.. As for the fix... take it down, and and fill the dents and repaint. Lots less hassle then trying to do it onsite. Don't forget to charge for it... sometimes the clients can submit that kind of thing to their insurance...

Been using it for at least the last 10 years or so. No real issues; some of their reflectives can be a bit brittle, like the green and blues. FDC is simply a "relabeler" and sells other manufacturer films under their own label. 3M is the big supplier, Oracal is another.

Each media will react differently as it's pulled through the cutter, hence the misalignment. Usually you can map and calibrate the media by following these steps: www.summa.be/download/opos_en.pdf

By how much is the cut off? Mine generally cuts about 1mm off the desired contour. I put that to the vinyl actually either shrinking or stretching depending on the weather, regardless of how the targets are set up for registration. If it's a critical cut (most are not) I'll re-engineer the cut...
