The other serif font is Chowderhead
  3. cancel job workaround-latex 3xx-5xx

So true....and I can't get the sales people to understand (still after 3 years with these) that when they come running in asking me to print a banner real quick, when they know I have been running vinyl all day,why I b!tch and moan that "no I can't just run a banner real quick"....it's like a 20...
  4. cancel job workaround-latex 3xx-5xx

....and you can't flip it when the printer is against a wall.
  5. Need Help Need help matching Oracal 751 031red with a cheaper vinyl!

SO you're saying you know what to do (compare to other swatch books)....you just want someone else to do it for you?
  6. Lam Separated From Vinyl, Again

Man I sure see more problems with Avery than I used to. Stopped using them years ago but thought they had gotten better. Will stick to 3M.
  7. Trump Construction Signs...

I would definitely do either flatbed or printed vinyl overlay. Seeing as we don't have a flatbed, and MDO is usually so warped flatbed is not even completely possible, we would overlay. You didn't say how many signs.....we would be about $500/ea, unless large quantity.....if you do 50 they would...
  8. Suggestions Foamboard install

Yep...paints are bad these days. We have a large vet chain we do all their interior signage for, including wall murals. We have now gotten them to omit painting the walls for murals when they do their build-outs. It has helped tremendously, as the first few we installed were after the fact, and...
  9. Need Help Reflectivity?

Either solvent, eco-sol or latex are all fairly translucent, all about the same level. We do tons of printing on reflective (doing some as we speak!) and the darker colors are less reflective, obviously, but still do reflect. Wouldn't hurt to run as low saturation as possible though, enough to...
  10. Minimum Charge

If the million dollar order means not making a million little signs, then yes. Work smarter, not harder.
  11. Need Help Quick Font ID

    Bless you.
  12. Minimum Charge

Man how can you have a $20 minimum? Are you a one man shop? We lose $20 just by spending 10 minutes haggling over the price. We're not a large shop, but our overhead is enough that we have to get at least $75 for a minimum order...sometimes we go for $100. It really depends. Like others, we...
  13. Window perf too transparent

Did you use the right perf? Like a 70/30 or 80/20? If you use lower than that it does become too transparent (which is optimal for vehicle windows).
  14. Looking for quick cheats for FC8600

Your force settings will depend greatly on the blade type and how much of the blade you have sticking out. Try to keep just the smallest amount of the tip protruding.....with that, you should be able to start setting up for various materials.
  15. Phototex like substrate (something for inside of windows)

We just mirror print on clear and back with white vinyl for this kind of sign. For removable on the outside of glass, we use Glass Adhere.
  16. Nasty smell from printer

Nope. It is clearly the roll of material. Stopped using IJ35c because it had that smell....then it creeped up in this laminate. Only 2 things out of MANY rolls of different media and laminate that we use. It is bizarre.
  17. JV150- Prints coming out too reddish/pink

Doesn't sound like a profile issue. Sounds like a printer issue, magenta getting ink into other colors somehow. Sounds like a tech is in order.
  18. Removing 3 month old window perf

No, it's not that easy when it's old and unlaminated. Laminated and not dried and crusty? Yes it's that easy.
  19. Nasty smell from printer

Nah I wish that's what it was. This is the second out of the box roll of 210M that we have noticed this with. And it's heightened by the heat from laminating with it.
  20. What do I need to print on rtic stainless tumblers

Vinyl is fine for short term, powder coating or cerakote for long term.
