CONSIDER THIS: What if this person had sent them 143 shirts by mistake instead of 144?
Would this vendor insist the customer send them 1 more shirt before they could honor their price break?!??!?
The fact is the vendor is out nothing here by doing this - other than making a...
What type of ultrasonic cleaning system are you using artbot? I might invest in one if the price isn't stupid crazy like some of the specific units for cleaning printheads that go for $2000 or more....
I have both "work tees" and nicer polos logo'd with embroidery. I think it makes me look more professional and even though I'm just a small shop it leaves people with a better impression than if I just walked in with regular work or street clothes.
I would strongly suggest ordering a bottle of ultra cleaning solution from Fellers, SignWarehouse, etc. It does a MUCH better job cleaning the printer and will last a long time since you use less of it.
I just bought a new laminator and decided to go with the 65" vs the 54". Mainly because one day I may actually need it. Cost difference between the 2 models was not much.
Never a bad thing to have more than what you need - always sucks to have less.
+1 on wiping it down BEFORE you print. I've used quite a bit of gold and silver and it prints OK as long as you understand the limitations. Typically, I'm just doing things in dark colors like black outlines, etc. and then contour cutting instead of using 2-layers of vinyl and registering it all.
I tried the 3551 on 2 box trucks last year that had smooth fiberglass boxes. Seem to be holding up great so far, other than the typical scratches from hitting low limbs, etc on the road.
I'm guessing he picked one up from Dave at Solvent Printer Conversions. I talked to Dave about a printer over a year ago and he is very helpful and knowledgeable with these old Rolands. Yes, they start life as a water based printer, but Dave has the know-how to make them work with his solvent...
I can't help but notice you keep asking for something that will be VERY hard to come by in that price range. You are going to have to search high and low for possibly months before you come across the right deal. I know because I walked that path for almost a year before I found my printer...
FWIW - Previously I worked in the offset printing industry for 14 years. Did my share of design/prepress/page layout, operating digital printing equipment and dealing directly with customers and their projects. Decided to go into making signs on my own after losing my job. That was 2008...
I think you will find the physical properties of almost all adhesive backed vinyl, whether meant for cutting or printing will not allow you to do what you want it to do. I spent over 14 years in the offset printing world, much of which was around digital B&W and color copiers and related...
Flame, I also have a 1204 and you'll want to replace the wiper every 6-12 months or if there is any damage (knicks, cuts) etc. Usually they will become soft and mushy after being exposed to the solvents for a while and don't do as good of job wiping the head.
*BTW - I've bought several...
Funny, just had a customer asking me about this the other day. While I've been aware of it wasn't sure if it's just a new fad or something to take seriously. Guess I'll have to start reading up.
Not a whole lot in the under $10k range new for solvent. 48" SW Prismjet/Mutoh 1204 or possibly a 30" Roland SP-300 or VP-300. You could also go for a 42" latex from BigFish. Otherwise you're easily $14-18,000 for a 54" Roland/Mutoh/Mimaki just to start. Again, you're going to need a RIP and...
