This is very true, however, saying that we on occasion will cut sign vinyl on our laser, it's such a tiny amount of PVC that I wouldn't worry about it, just make sure you have a good exhaust system! Don't go cutting sentra in your laser like one of my competitors on the other side of town does...

why would the content of the wrap affect the pricing? you still have to print, laminate & install, you may be able to knock down the design charge if they choose a stock camo pattern you have, but I would say deduct no more than 30% of the DESIGN charge.

Hard to say, I would say a top of the line 3M 220 white vinyl would realistically last 10-15 years before it starts to show signs of failure, a good paint should outlive that by 10-20 years I would think. Plus paint has the added benefit of generally looking better as it ages

it's worth whatever the scrap metal yard will give you, as for removal price, I would charge your shop rate x however many hours it takes, plus any lift rentals etc. you have to add to the price. Let me guess, the owner wants you to remove the sign for free, but he will let you keep the sign!

I'm not sure about the Universal lasers, but our Trotec machines have the option to engrave from the bottom up, so the smoke from the engraving doesn't stick to the engraved areas as it's being sucked up by the exhaust system, have you tried this?

Don't engrave through the premask, engrave normally, but premask the sheet after it's done, squeegee it down well and than rip it off and throw the mask in the trash, the mask will take most of the dust with it, than just re mask the sheet and cut them out normally. Also, if these are colours...

Can you explain this a bit more, I'm not sure i follow. Lets say bob's auto parts orders 5000 magnets. I create 5 orders for 1000 pcs each, bob is still going to expect all 5000 pcs at once, so what's to stop him from saying they were bad/defective?
