Does anyone know of any, or have access to any, profiles that use the 1200dpi setting on more than just the HP Wallpaper or Satin Photo Paper? I want to see what kind of quality I can get out of it, but all I have profiles for are the 600dpi setting, which looks alright, I am just picky on the...

Hmmm... This makes me nervous as the tech will be here in an hour. It is a 2 hour drive for me each way to the nearest vendor that would have a replacement.

I just ordered a roll of the 9mil poster paper from BigFishDM. Will let you know what I think once everything is up and running and I try it out! Excited to see his other samples too, to see what all I can print on!

I have mine all ready to go too up to where I have to plug it in and install the inks, heads, etc. My tech will be here Tuesday too. I am also very tempted to finish the setup! Got my new Mac Mini with Caldera VisualRIP+ setup too. Not quite sure how to run that yet.

I bought the caldera visual rip+ from advantage for $2650. This comes installed and ready to go on a new Mac Mini.

The wrap videos I have seen on YouTube show where they stretch better than solvent inks. Not sure about metallic and reflective.

I just figured if someone like Merrit Graphics brags about Caldera, it must be good! I did a 1-on-1 webinar chat with a guy from Caldera where he showed me how it worked and the features and I have to say that I think it looks way better than Onyx. The upgrading is way better and cheaper too.

That is funny, I have an iPF8300 too! Love the print quality of it! Luckily I had a few people to help me do that part. If the HP is as easy to install as the Canon was, shouldn't be a problem.

I downloaded the instructions from the HP site and it seemed pretty simple and self explanatory to me. An interesting thing I saw is that the printer is boxed upside down so you mount the stand to it and then flip it over. Haven't seen that before.

I have heard that about pretty much all manufactures: they pretty much give you the printer, to be able to make their money off of you on the consumables. Like the Canon iPF8300 I have. My final printer price was $2300 and it costs a little over $2000 to fill it with ink. What do you do?

My VP-540 does it's fair share of shaking when it's printing, and I have never had any problems with it.
