I recalibrated and upped the ink limit. Colors are looking better....printed a swatch of common PMS colors and nearly all but one were pretty dead on. Light at the end of the tunnel, folks....get these kinks worked out and I'll be loving the printer.

Well that's the thing...we were like "wow! We don't need to sit and scan all these swatches anymore! the printer will do it all!" And yet here I am, hating what it is doing and ready to build my own the old way.

We followed the entire onscreen process....note: we began with the profiles for the media we downloaded, and went from there. I just readjusted the saturation level on one to try....if it doesn't fix it, I will build a new one.

Really? I don't think so...I've got maybe 100 signs scattered across the DFW metroplex made this way. Not one issue with them. In fact, I've tried to pull a print off of a board after discovering a mistake. Decided to just overlay again, because that print was not coming off.

Well ok...you are the ONLY person I have ever heard who WANTS their laminate oversized.

For full coverage print vinyl on MDO - primed MDO works fine. For cut vinyl graphics, Painted MDO (assuming white background.) If you need a colored background, use primed MDO and paint with Ronin.

LOL This is some made up BS! I cut down smaller pieces of laminate for smaller signs all the time, and never have an issue....why on earth would I use a full 54" wide sheet of lam on a single 2' x 3' print? I would cut down a slightly oversized piece of the roll of laminate and run it. For roll...

Not sure what brands you use, but I have asked for years for manufacturers to make the lam rolls shorter than the vinyl. Everything we use is the same size or .125' wider than the vinyl. Also, I think you mean "wondering" and "wonder", unless you actually walk around aimlessly. :)

Well had he asked about applying a dozen 4x8 WINDOW PRINTS, I would have answered differently.

+1 Laminator. Could knock out a dozen in about an hour.
