  1. Anyone Used Alumigraphics? - Foil Based Printed Wall Graphic Media

We tried it, installed a large graphic in front of our front door. Also made some address numbers for my house street curb (looks like the old painted numbers). But they didn't last long. Also, now that we have gotten into the roll, it holds its curl so bad we can't run it through our printer...
  2. How long to cure fresh paint before applying vinyl?

If it's a Maaco or other cheapo paint job, wait as long as possible. If it's a professional body shop, and they actually did a proper R/R with clearcoated paint job, you're good to go when they hand over the keys.

    Primus sucks.
  7. Mesh Printing Kit

It refers to an insertable platen in printers like the Latex 560/570, that catches extra ink. No need for it with paper lined products.
  8. Where Do I Start

Production process? Same as any other vinyl production process. Print the graphics, laminate the graphics. You want help with pre-production? You'll get a buttload of different opinons, as to what design software to use, template making, setting up for tiling, overlap, etc. There's a lot to...
  9. Need Help First Wrap

Good lord, not wet. That is why you use air release vinyl. And heat is not used to shrink anything....more to conform; in this case, to conform to the rivets.
  10. Need Help First Wrap

Full wraps on sides, for sure. You're wasting a small amount vinyl doing print and cut, and you're adding a lot more labor doing so. 4 or 5 full sheets on each side, pretty quick install. No loading plotter, or hand cutting on table.
  11. Etched vinyl issues....

So the customer sent these photos? Before the installer was even done at the job? We've had that happen....worked a massive store front with cut vinyl graphics.....customer showed up while we were installing, and called our girl at the shop to complain that he did not like the large beige...

This is a great method we use often as well.
  13. Font Id Please

There's not one single Trajan letter on this. Just use Times New Roman italic.
  14. Rotating Contour Cut Before Sending

Ok this may not work as I thought....I thought I had used it before for this issue, but just double checked it as a test, and it seems to have only rotated 90 degrees and not a full 180.... so now I'm not sure.
  15. Rotating Contour Cut Before Sending

When you go to send your print and cut files to PM, under the Cutting tab there is a button you can click to ROTATE CUT JOB if you are having to do that a lot. Then it will be set so you can load and not have to rewind the whole thing.
  16. Rotating Contour Cut Before Sending

If it's HOLDING in PM, you can't. It's set to correspond with a printed file, with targets set to align with the print....why would you want to rotate it?
  17. HP L560

So, color issues are mostly fixed for now. Now my huge complaint is the fact I have to waste a yard of vinyl EVERY TIME I want to print something. I have had substrate jam after substrate jam, because it seems with this printer you HAVE to have at least a foot hanging out from under the curing...
