  1. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

Here's a link to the ink line and o-rings on our site. What you want to do is use a syringe to empty the line first. You will need to open the valve in the back of the cartridge. If you're by yourself, just push the valve and tape it open and pull with the syringe from the damper (make sure the...
  2. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

I agree. I much prefer the bottle with sub tank and float sensor much better over cartridge. It allows you to use all the ink!
  3. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

The way the system works is each cartridge has a chip that identifies the color but also keeps track of the ink level by subtracting the estimated ink usage as the machine is used. Once that hits 0, the chip reads as empty even if it estimated incorrectly and there is still ink present. Usually...
  4. Need Help Mimaki jv33 No yellow and no magenta, sudden loss

This seems to be a problem as these models age out. I've worked on a few older JV33 and CJV30s that simply needed new ink lines. We tried everything and it just wouldn't stay consistent. As soon as we changed out the lines (and o-rings at every connection), everything worked perfect. It's a...
  5. Suggestions I have many 220 ink cartridges which still have ink in them

I'd suggest just getting some chips to put on the cartridge to finish them up. Cartridges are filled with ink and then all the air is sucked out. If you introduce air into the cartridge, it can cause pressure issue which usually ends up in ink just falling out of the head.
  6. Ink not staying in print head

The carriage should be level already. You just want to check the gap between the head surface and the platen. Usually if anything is off it's the left side being higher than the right. In that case you just need to take the head bracket off and wiggle the head around until it drops into place...
  7. Permanent Chips for Mimaki 6042 MKII

You probably won't find a true permanent chip for a Mimaki. You're best bet is to get non permanent chips from a 3rd party ink supplier but if you don't buy your ink from them, a lot of them tend to get grumpy with you because they want to sell ink, not chips.
  8. Color shift issue. Need help ASAP

Due to many factors, printers will drift in color over time. There's a process called, "linearization," that allows you to bring it back it's original state but that requires a spectrophotometer. I've even seen two of the exact same model printer, in the same room, installed on the same day...
  9. Mimaki CJV150-160 Repair or new print head?

Agreed with Neil above. Also, this is a scenario I've seen a thousand times. Your cap top and/or pump might have been already failing but working enough to keep ink inside the head. Then when you moved the printer, air got into the system, which is normal, but the failing cap top/pump can't...
  10. Ink not staying in print head

It's natural for the ink to recede back to the cartridges but the dampers are supposed to prevent it from happening. So usually it means the damper is bad, the o-ring seal between the damper and ink line is bad, or there is an air leak somewhere else in the system. So make sure you change the...
  11. Mutoh DX5 Print Head Sale!

If you're running an older Mutoh ValueJet or any other DX5 based printer like the Mimaki JV33 and CJV30, we've got a rare sale going on for these heads at $1325. That includes a full set of dampers and free ground shipping. These heads are genuine Mutoh DX5 print heads straight from Mutoh...
  12. Oracal 651 vinyl

That's how we did it in the shop I worked in. In certain cases someone just wanted a phone number on their door for cheap so we just threw on some calendared vinyl.
  13. Laminator Rolls were accidentally cut......recoat or repair??

We only paid $100 for the rubber but that was for a very entry level Royal Sovereign laminator. I assume $2100 is for the entire roller for you. We didn't buy the rubber anywhere special. It was straight from the manufacturer.
  14. Need Help Roland xc540 error 0004

If you're looking for board repair, check out https://www.inkjetperformance.com/wide-format-printer-board-pcb-repair-service/
  15. Laminator Rolls were accidentally cut......recoat or repair??

Yeah they only sent the rubber outside part and we had to slide it on the metal cylinder.
  16. JFX200-2513 Not Printing White (Sometimes)

Encoder issues tend to print and have a stair step pattern rather than not printing at all. If you're not seeing print issues in the other colors, I would say no.
  17. JFX200-2513 Not Printing White (Sometimes)

My best guess would be that maybe some of the art files have an effect that is conflicting with the sport color? Sometimes transparencies will make spot colors do weird things. Other than that I guess it could be a small pressure issue causing the ink to no start printing right away sometimes...
  18. JFX200-2513 Not Printing White (Sometimes)

Does it ever happen on other white prints or just when trying to put it behind the mark?
  19. JFX200-2513 Not Printing White (Sometimes)

It's a weird one because it doesn't seem to be an ink flow issue. My first gut feeling was maybe a file issue.
  20. Not printing

Check the CR board. I can't remember if there is one on there for your machine but most of the DX7 based printers do. The CR board is the board the head cables and trailing cables plug into. Also, take a good look at the ink lines throughout the machine. Make sure there aren't any large air...
