How about the condition of the cutting strip?
If it is worn or has a groove in it you won't be able to put enough pressure on the material to get a good cut on thick stuff.
I have not tried but you may be able to take the carriage apart to clean & lube the plunger that moves the blade holder up...
I think it depends on the shape of the rivets/screws.
We did partial wraps on some Kenworth tractors.
It had two different types of rivets. The regular low profile rivets worked fine doing the channel Rolle-Pro method without primer 94. Along the bottom of the door jam there are larger rivets...
No clue on the miracle clip but if all else fails:
Military grade 100 mile an hour tape.
If this won't keep those faces on, nothing will.
Plus if you select the correct camo pattern it should be undetectable(in theory).
