Most of the spice is gone from the forum with the old hands moving on - just the bland day to day stuff left: What font is this?, my printer won't turn on, Latex is awesome etc..... Can't be helped I guess.

If you go the banner route - skip the vhb and get some HH66 - if it is vinyl banner to vinyl basket it will lay much flatter than tape & never lift or curl.
You should be able to print up to 52.5" - 53" on a 54" printer
I'd stack the prints and hand cut that. Save material - save time - less chance for a tracking error causing a crash and burn.
Sounds like they know they have lost you as a customer and are going to nickel and dime you to death because they can.

I have a graphtec and nest multiple cut and prints to save material.
But I only use Flexi to do the printing. Graphtec's illustrator/corel plug-ins to set the registration marks and do the plots.
