  1. Installers around Cincinnati, Ohio area?

Circleville is a bit of a drive, we need someone multiple days a week. I will look him up though!
  2. Installation issue!

I think he has one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gerber-Edge-Omega-5-0-Software-Installed-on-Dell-PC-Full-Version-/121634640269?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c51fd518d I saw them when looking to purchase a used copy of Omega.
  3. Installers around Cincinnati, Ohio area?

We are booked up too far out to keep some customers happy and need some more installers to get jobs bumped up on our schedule. We have tried everyone I know in the area... and are left with just a few that we still trust to do work. Anyone have a lead? Looking for contract installers primarily...
  4. GBC For 8 years - Sales rep says new ones are junk!!

One good thing is that you have a good rep! Most reps would be content to just take your money and their commission.
  5. Cop car fire truck price

for install only I would just charge hourly. Shouldn't matter for pricing what the materials are if you're doing install only. your post is confusing, are they providing the graphics or you? It seems like kinda both of you are?
  6. Installation issue!

Funny thing is, I can install the dongle and software just fine on Windows 7 (run everything on the CD in XP simulation/compatibility mode). However, 1.56 only recognizes LPT and COMM ports.... and I can't get the USB conversion cables to recognize as I think you have to have 2.X for those to work.
  7. JV3 parts

yes the boards and power supplies are pricey. the heads are also pricey, but if they're out of service the heads may be shot. if the heads are good, i am interested in them.
  8. Laying Panel Vinyl on a 28' Box Truck

Yes, slit it and have a seam behind the poles. It is a box truck not a show car. It is the overall finished product that they are going for. People aren't going to walk up to it and admire it, they are going to see it drive by them at 35 mph.
  9. Magnum magnets flying off vehicles

i think it is from the customer removing them and letting them sit and "distort" to a different shape. If they had a hump in them when they slapped them back on and immediately drove away, then they're gonna lift and fall off at speed. I would suggest that after application they wait an hour...
  10. Multi-layer laminating/cutting process?

There's no way to stack two layers of lexedge and have it run correctly through a plotter. Even regular lexedge pops off sprockets occasionally here (make sure your bailing arm springs are up to snuff). I run regular lexedge at 5 passes at 18 speed. I would try doing your black, then trying...
  11. GBC For 8 years - Sales rep says new ones are junk!!

The last laminator I purchased was from that new company GFP, and it is an awesome laminator. The new ones are easy load also. Just get your rolls loaded and webbed, and let 'er roll. No problems from it at all.
  12. Looking for Mimaki JV3 160SP Slider Board

sent you a PM, sent both of you a PM actually.
  13. what is this material?

I've never seen alumalite myself, so don't feel bad about not recognizing alumacore, lol. It IS a cheap junky product in my opinion, I hate using it. I will look into trying some alumalite next time someone asks about alumacore!
  14. Printing Problems with Mimaki JV3 160SP

I think the black lines are going to be where you figure out what the issue is. There are a number of things that could cause the missing yellow, but it looks like you have already addressed most of the usual suspects. I am betting on the slider board as to me it looks like a circuit board issue...
  15. what is this material?

aluminum faces + plastic core = alumacore It is rigid but it crushes/dents VERY easily.
  16. What would you do

It sounds like it could still be miscommunication. if all of this communication has taken place over email so far, then call the customer and explain the request for a deposit and go from there while actually talking. I have seen a lot of situations like these escalate quickly over email and one...
  17. Oracal Color Charts

With your next order you place just tell them to include 2 or so color charts also on the order. I cannot see a distributor not being able to hold a few for you. We always have plenty around here, the only thing everyone doesn't have a copy of are the solid color wrap sample books.
  18. Gerber HS 15 Plus cutting problems

I had the little white plastic gear on the servo motor crack a couple months ago on one of ours, it allowed slippage in one rotational direction and that allowed the head to get out of sync with the direction of travel after a couple turns. Just another thing to look at if it isn't the theta belt.
  19. Which printer for small decals?

I would recommend the Gerber Edge if you are NOT doing photographic quality decals. It excels at everything else besides that.
  20. First mural done

Looks great! We have done a few similar in Phototex.
