that's messed up Stacy, I can't imagine the stress of what you an your partner were going through with his health issues, and then to add all the financial stress to that fire. Very glad you resolved it in the end, but as an outsider looking in, it seems like a very stupid system.

Sorry not buying it, i've been applying translucent vinyl to polycarbonate with rapid tac for years, oddly enough the only issues i've had were with this 1 particular colour of blue from ritrama, most likely from the same batch. Also, the vinyl was absolutely fine for the first 18 or so months...

Just to reiterate, in the end it turns out it was Ritrama vinyl, my supplier led me to believe it was KPMF, but it was not.

either buscuits or if you have access to a table saw and dado blade, lap joints would be ideal, you could assemble and glue on site.

depends on what you are looking to do, are you strictly looking to quote jobs, or would you like some shop management features as well?

We have a computer set up just as a server, it holds all customer files, clipart, fonts etc. it is backed up instantly to Carbonite, as well as being backed up once a week to an external HDD that we keep off site.

Sounds like something I tell PITA customers in hopes that they go away!

We tell customers that we only keep files from the last 2 years on our server, anything older than that is kept on external HDD's off site. If they are ordering a sign from us and we need to pull something off those HDD's, there is no charge, but if they just want a file, we charge them a fee...

How does that conversation go? "I'm sorry but I won't give the artwork that you paid for to you, but I will send it to your screenprinter, who will in turn give it to you anyways and look like the hero"

We do this as well, If you give the client the vector artwork, it's now their responsibility to keep it safe, they can't come back to you 8 years later expecting you to have it on file still.
