I have a customer who wants some braille ADA signs made.(this is Canada so US rules probably don't apply) I have only seen the attached photos of these things. They look vac formed to me.. then stuck on a piece of acrylic. I can vac form. I can also cut acrylic with my laser. I assume it will...
Mine is 4 x 8 and has a top made of polyethylene. (puck board maybe?) It marks a bit when I press too hard cutting graphics but it is easy to clean! Paint , grease, dirt just wipe right off. I love it.
The wheels are on a foot pedal/lever system that lifts the table legs clear of the floor when...
No sir. The shop is forced air oil heat. The ceiling fans are keeping it from getting hot up at the ceiling like the old shop. It would 80 up there even in the winter from stagnation. I'm going to heat the decals with a torch after they are installed from now on.
Adrian
Yeah... I did go up a ladder and saw what was going on and I did report it here. You're just a tad late to the party. I outlined what I think has happened and what I intend to do in post #35. I am just weeding the replacement decals and will see if I can get the trucks inside tomorrow to redo...
Yeah, the transfer tape behaved as normal. I use medium tack too!
Oh well... 7 air dams to redo isn't the worst bungle I've ever had. I'll remember this for longer since it cost me money.
Adrian
Yeah... I think it was installer error. I should have post heated it. Now that I think of it, these are the first run I've lettered in the new shop. It has about 25 ceiling fans wailing away at all times to blow the heat down from the ceiling. It makes the shop more comfortable for the workers...
I've watched Dave(the guy who washes the trucks) pressure wash these things for years. He does it from the ground with a long wand. He hasn't damaged any of my graphics in the 8 or so years I've been applying them.
There is no facility in this area that you drive a truck under to wash it.

This is from Oracal's site:
custom silicone coated paper with special release characteristics that provide excellent weeding and release values. customized blue silicone paper liner for matte and gloss white provides superior contrast for easy weeding.
Maybe I got a weird batch. I...
I'll see what I can find out about diesel particles in paint.
There's no truck wash in this area. There certainly isn't one between the shop door and the yard.
Adrian
There was no diesel in evidence and no goo. The back of the vinyl appeared normal. I'll take a piece of the failed stuff and stick on something and see how it fares.
Adrian
Hi Gino! I missed your post.
Something might have got on them somehow/somewhere before I did them but I didn't see anything while I was doing them. They've been parked in the back yard of the truck shop for the past week. No trees, no tall buildings. They were aimed in random directions. It...
Who knows? Seems to me it's either bad vinyl, bad install or something wrong with the substrate. The trucks are base/clear paint. I know Easson's don't wax them. Who knows what they might have been exposed to on the way from the Freightliner factory to here?
What gets me is the 751 on the...
