  1. Flexi 10 and HP latex 310

No. The release of the Latex 310 was in 2014, Flexi 11 was released in 2013.
  2. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

A final conclusion for that: I have done tests with the new firmware, with 4c, 6c and 6c with that new long run consistency mode. In the maximum, 4c and 6c do not have a big difference (could be because of some environment issues too), both above DeltaE (2000) = 2. On the last swatch, 4c was a...
  3. Solvent vs Latex.

I don't know much about the VG-Series, but I have sold and serviced Roland Printers for a long time, until the VersaCamm Pro. Roland beats the Latex with the accuracy on fine details, specially with the Epson DX-Heads of the VersaCamm Pro (don't know the new heads). HP have more density...
  4. Solvent vs Latex.

We (as dealers) had some complaints about head crashs, but with attention to a few rules it will not happen very much. Media loading is a little bit more work and takes a little bit more time than with other printers, but during loading the printer checks media skew, adjust the feed...
  5. Summa Fatal Error message

That error message means that for any reasons the movement of the printhead carriage needs too much power. What means that the printhead carriage sticks there. I would check for obstructions around the 4th cartridge Holder. Greasing the rod could be a good idea.
  6. new rip for me

It is not easy to suggest a RIP because this softwares do more than just preparing jobs to print. And every software have its advantages and disadvantages. Specially the Latex 300-Series makes the choice more difficult, because one reason for buying a RIP was often "for which RIP do I get the...
  7. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

Never met such an ignorant person before. Never said that. I answer a lot of questions in this forum, even about hard- and software, and most of the people apprechiate my help. Your permanent and annoying prayers about "the single light head is the cause of all evil with the Latex" don't solve...
  8. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

The only thing I have mentioned was that color deviation can't be a problem of the light head only, because I had deviation on full colours too. These in relation to the new long run consistency mode. The fight began because of you blaming me because of my idea that full color prints do not use...
  9. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

I'm not interested in what you think what's a real world print. I have color variations on full colours too, on samples of customers, for example on prints on vinyls for Bus or train wraps. The last post was just a proof to you that light colours don't play a big role when printing full...
  10. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

@ dypinc: Just for your information, I have checked it now: the test print I have printed have used very little light colors. E. g. the Cyan where I have most of the deviation, it makes around 3-4% of the total use of cyan. Should not bring the light head in trouble. But I have thought over...
  11. accuracy problem with D160R

Try X-Calibration. You'll find it in the plotter menu. A line will be plotted, measure it and if neccessary correct the value shown on the plotters display. Be shure that autoload is activated. If using heavier rolls, use the media flanges too. 120in should be in the plotters range of...
  12. epson Workforce 1100 used as ecosolvent printer??

For printing successfully with Eco-Solvent-Inks on Vinyl, you need something which warms up the media before bringing ink on the surface. Not shure that your printer have that.
  13. HP Latex 79:04 error when doing color calibration

79:04 is a generic firmware error. Common corrective actions are suggested: rebooting the printer (switching it off at the back, disconnect and reconnect cables), check firmware version and so on ... if it continues, a service engineer should check the harddisk.
  14. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

Found too late: Of course you can measure spot colors without standard targets, with the Barbieri SpectroPad without software too (have a build-in display). But of course I won't measure 48 colours one patch after each other manually, and that 5 times. So I use a standard target to read it in...
  15. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

@ AF: Shure on a 600-Series anything would be different? HP have wanted to create an easy to use color profiling solution for all the people who do color management by "try-and-error" (and this are a lot). Of course it lacks of functionality, I have asked for some things too, but HP says "if...
  16. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

If printing tests, when knowing what light colors do, you can define the tests that the ink split levels don't play any role. I will proof that during next week, I do not have the printer at home. More optimizer on the media, together with the more efficient curing module, will allow to put...
  17. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

You're right. I'm only working in the support department of a HP dealer in switzerland, responsible for signmaking customers, doing demonstrations, installs, trainings, color management and troubleshooting of latex 300 printers most of my time, being in contact sometimes directly with the guys...
  18. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

A plotter of 18 years has a value of a few hundred bucks. A modern S-Class has functional advantages too ... even a modern SummaCut have functional advantages. A new Mutoh printer, by the way, cost much more than a new printhead too
  19. Fix for Summa- Not completing First Cut.

This is the Servo Motor turning the knife in cutting direction. What you've manipulated is the encoder of this motor. Not shure what could happen now, but I would switch back before plotting larger jobs. This part have NOTHING to do with knife up and downs, so nothing to do too with missing cut...
  20. Any reports on the new 7_00.11 firmware yet?

No need to blame the LcLm-Printhead for every problem. There is a problem with color deviation too when printing long runs with full color with a higher number of passes. There must be a reason why HP uses now 2 Op-Heads, but still 1 Light head only, with the new 500.
