There were 21 walls and about 100 or so artists. (which a lot of us agree may be a bit too many for one event.) but we still got it done even with the rain.
Got back late last night. Today I have been playing catch-up since we were out of the office for a week. I thought I would post a few photos of the event.
We had heavy rain 2 of 5 days. We got lucky at our site and were able to build "tent city" (aka "the fort") so we could keep ourselves...
When working on murals:
You know you spelled that wrong?
Can you paint my house after you are done doing that?
Will that come off in the rain?
Do you have permission to do that?
When doing design work.
Can you make that "pop" more?
Can you move that down just a little? (while they touch...
I've got these two:
Vicis est nunquam attero ut vos es attero totus vicis.
or
Tempus nunquam vastata ut vestri 'tempus omne consumpserit.
But I am unsure if I should rely on online translators.
I saw the design on facebook and I really liked it, but I assumed that you didn't put it up for critique so I didn't say anything then, but since you asked for it here, I agree with Jill about the "B". Other than that, I think it looks great.
If it were a flat hubcap you could, if there is dimension to the wheel, you would technically want to redraw the wheel or edit it so that the perspective looks right.
Here is an example of what I mean:
This is the front and rear wheels. Notice the distance from the center part of the...
It doesn't always work that way. The perspective changes the farther back on the vehicle you go. Sometimes you can kind of cheat (if it is flat or doesn't have much dimension to it), but other times you can't and if you try, it sticks out like a sore thumb.
Looking good. Yeah I hate doing the wheels too. and those wheels don't look like too much fun.:Big Laugh
One tip I would have, or at least it is something I like to do. Exaggerate your gradients, and also exaggerate your highlights too. It makes the car look nice, shinny and clean.
Kgirl, I think it's really cool what you are doing, Imagine if this were being done with all the products we use in the sign industry... Paint, vinyl, substrate, etc. We would all be better for it.
Keep up the good work. :thumb:
ahhhh cool. Thanks for your help vid. I appreciate it.
Yeah Ideally like I've said before, I just want the screenprinter to just take care of this stuff, but there is nothing wrong with having at least a little understanding of where they are coming from, if it isn't that big of a deal, I...
Approximately 14.7" and 20" right in front of the door handle.
You know, if it's orange like that, you almost have to put a "01" on there. I think it's a rule.
Yeah I guess I was talking about logo design in relationship with signs, since that is what the OP was working with. But point taken. Actually, I prefer a "cad" program that does a lot of those things plus does a hell of a job with 2d graphic design. However, I do wish the more traditional sign...
