    arlon 8000 what you are talking about is a low energy surface with a textured finish, normal vinyl will NOT adhere or if it does will be for a short time
  8. banner ink bleeding....please help!

    are there any issues with the imprint? blurry, lines being sharps. first thought is ink saturation (too much ink being laid) have you tried adjusting the temps? are any other materials doing this? are you printing on the correct side of the banner?

    yes it will fail at the seam as the material flexes / separates. install normally and do so between the seams. If that is not possible then come back and cut the seams so the vinyl doesn't fail

    ah....... he is a competitive cooker, then yes he will have an expensive smoker and yes you are good to attach directly to the metal. what we have used is stainless steel standoff mounts, depending on the heat / location determines the distance raised. I would say .5" is the minimum

    short answer no, he mislead you about the temp a typical smoker will average 185-250 degrees for SEVERAL hours, a brisket needs 12+ hrs to have that fall apart tender an alternative would be use standoff mounts, place the decal into a rigid, alum so the heat doesn't warp the PVC, in dibond...

    Konica Minolta was the winner when we did our testing a couple years ago. beat out levmark, xerox, cannon, etc... we went with the 4695MF model and there are plenty of settings to mess with for color profiles.
