Took it out of the crate and this thing looks pretty good. I got the 80" cutter and will be using this instead of my Fletcher, which has been a pain in the a$$ since being bought. The problem with the Fletcher 3000 is trying to line up material properly dur to out of square substrates...

I am at a complete loss here. Are you saying you put your waste ink back into the black reservoir? is it not a mixture of all inks and solvents from cleanings? Your running a bulk system so you must be saving quite a bit on ink as to using the cartridges so I dont understand how much more...

I have tried seperating recyclables like cores and cardboard then driving 2 miles to a city recycling centre, but they now refuse to take the cores as they say it jams up the shredding machine..... go figure.. I call one supplier who will re use my cores so long as they dont have any labels in...

I want it to last long enough that I get paid!!!... but dark colours on scrim spell danger with my printer.... Actually the entire banner is a dark royal blue with gold lettering...one false move and it's toast.

I will have ND send you a 1" roll of 3M - $ 50.00 plus delivery and an extra $10 to generate an invoice and $3.00 for the stamp!!! LOL

All I can say is that my printer and dark colours can spell SCUFF!!! It is eco solvent and I have had many issues with banners...even finishing them in the shop can result in scuffs. Possibly I have some form of ink drying issue. The banner is for a large bank and I also know that...

would you care to describe the application proceedure? from my experience you have to be very careful especially on a small banner that is seen fairly close up and with dark colours. i have a couple gallons of clearshiled but as stated it can be pretty tricky.

Gino, I have used liquid laminate in the past but find with dark colours you have to be ever so careful as any overlaps or buildup of the liquid usually dries with a fog.... I figured on a small 36" x 60" banner maybe an actual laminate would look a lot better. So to continue. the laminate...

Has anyone laminated a banner using a 3ml laminate through a laminator? Does it actually work and hold? I am asking as I am printing a dark blue banner and know it will get scuffed in general handling. What you think?

I am doubting this as I am running a 48" roll and I have cut up exactly 2 full 50 yard rolls of frosted and I have about 1/4" left of masking yet still have at least 30 or 40 feet still left of un masked film. who would ever question the length? I am now.... Keep you posted.

I dont think I have ever seen this option but will be on the lookout. Nope, just tried importing an eps file and outside of the 3 choices on how i want to import the file , thats it... I may have turned that option off as I know the box you might be describing. Is there a way to reactivate it?

I have noticed that my SignLab when importing files, seems to switch everything to rgb and you don't really know the true colour the designer requested. Is there a setting to bring files in as they were saved? cmyk? i cant seem to find anything
