  1. SignVOX vs ShopVOX

Become Frustrated as well So here's the deal. Been using this since 1/1/13. Let me say I love the concept. I can literally work from anywhere. For my life and our business, this works for us. But, this complete abandonment of the product has us very frustrated. I ask questions and don't get...
  2. L25500 Carriage lube issues daily...help!

We run a small array of these. Agreed this is a design "issue" but this has ben working well for us: Have you changed your head felts? They will get so caked that they will lock up the carriage and your belt will skip and shred. We lube daily in the morning and if running a second lube a...
  3. Printed Drag Knife - inspiration video

Excellent all around. Plans to bring to to market? We currently run the Donek Tools drag knife. Works great, but your interchangeability aspect is killer.
  4. Who are some of the leaders in large format graphic industry.

Interesting - Pattison group also owned Coroplast (that plastic stuff we all use) until late last year when the other main player inteplast bought them from pattison.
  5. ussc show 2015 ???

I spoke with the USSC show staff yesterday. We have been a long time exhibitor, but took last year off. Glad we did. In their own words, it was pitiful. I asked the USSC staff to give me a list of facts and their action plan moving forward, with the intent of sharing it with the community...
  6. Gerber Sabre 408 Spoil Board/Sacrificial Table

I forgot to mention, just set that sheet right onto the PVC. Don't even bother messing with tearing off your old PVC. It sucks. And the machine will literally suck the MDF to the OEM PVC, then the part to the MDF. You could go crazy and stick a small tab of d/f tape in two corners to prevent...
  7. Gerber Sabre 408 Spoil Board/Sacrificial Table

You know, all that handwork stinks, I'll take that worthless sabre off of your hands........... In all seriousness, we buy ultralite MDF, some places call it LDF. Works like a charm. One can cut right to it, or just a tad deeper, no clean up on parts at all. Our 10 hp vac works just fine...
  8. L25500 - stripes and printhead dies pretty fast

Any chance your maint cartridge blotter cloth is used up without throwing a code? Also, when we have had this issue, replacing both the cartridge and head has solved the issue. Do the cart first, then some cleanings and try again, you may get away with not changing the head.
  9. A few recent gold and silver leaf jobs

    Awesome work!
  10. Vutek qs3220 suction / print lines

By any chance, does the line spacing equal the roll circumference? You said it was sitting on a shelf. That could be the "line" where the shelf was tangential to the roll, and the media got pressured damaged from the weight of the roll applied to that "line" along the length of the roll. Seen...
  11. needing to locate, and re-install profiles to output from Flexi to L25500

Two good links so far, as is this, there are a lot of flexi profiles here: http://www.graphixdirect.com/services/icc-profiles/
  12. Usage of old photos on new shop's website

You are treading in territory where you need more than the advice of signs 101. No offense to anyone here, but you need to speak with an attorney versed in employment and creative law. Perhaps your previous employer would never pursue your publishing of the images, but they certainly could and...
  13. Last minute Tax write-offs.What's everyone adding to their biz!

This alone is so worth having a forklift or skid steer around for. hang a pallet or two vertically on the forks and smash away!! Major $$ saver.
  14. Ditching cable TV

Partial cord cutter. Once I can get high speed internet in VT and I really don't need direct there, I'm totally cutting it off. Kids hardly watch TV on a TV anymore anyway. I'm down to just a few boxes one at home and one in my "RV" so to speak. If we didn't have turtle DSL as our only option...
  15. Hello from New Jersey

This. Fabricating for the casinos is one thing. Installing in AC is a totally different animal. Be careful.
  16. cabinet LED retrofits

Rocco have you looked at the sylvania boxLED solution Glantz has? Pretty good price point. We're testing the modules for a specialty fab project.
  17. Does SignVox have scheduling / field management features?

Have to ask the same question. What gives to signvox users. Do we get migrated to shopvox or will both products exist? Also confused after reading your response above.
  18. Is it time to upgade to FX

If you are looking to upgrade and don't want to trade your existing machine, I have an older edge for $700 that will get you the $5k trade in. I bought it new in 1998 its the side hinge with the vet top (Gen 3 I believe) It does have a couple of bad pixels. LMK if you are interested. Seriously...
  19. L26500 printing magenta instead of yellow

To echo the above, that magenta should be there, thats OK Log into the printer via the web interface and look at the head usage. Post a screenshot. You certainly could have air in the lines from the cart that popped out, or more than likely you just have heads that need replaced. Again, post...
  20. Latex vs solvent print life?

We were a test site for the vinyl jet, which, at the time was a revolutionary concept, especially after home brewing our own mild solvent printer out of a discarded roland. This in the year 2000. We had it printing acceptable quality, for the time and were printing trade show displays and POP...
