  1. HP L360 Vehicle Wraps

We're currently running 5 latex devices from 60" to 120". We've been through all matter of printers from a home-brew solvent in 2000 (yes, 2000) to Arizona 180's to seiko to colorspan to hp9k's. We've breathed a lot of solvent and dealt with all of the solvent issues. Latex is so far superior...
  2. Wont be going to this spot anymore.

We'd happily knock out your trade job. Of course we'd verify you're legit and all, but by all means, we'll take money anyway we can get it. Now, if it's a "feed the orphans" or it's for "reverend smith in africa" that might be a different story. Good luck and if you need a hand give a shout.
  3. plagued by 14:06 errors for 3 years now, on my L25500 - now its beyond belief...

Did you check the heater power cable on the door for a short to the printer frame? I'm really surprised your check did not clean it out as something to keep an eye on. There was a post on here a while back about it...
  4. Wholesale Printing

thanks for the indirect referral......I sent a PM and we had a nice dialogue about the project! Be well all! -Rick
  5. Onyx / Graphtec Print to Cut Issues with Over 8 Feet of Material

Thats ironic, because the graphtec was a huge improvement over the roland. So we bought a second. Agreed that reg over 8' can be tough. Our solutions: Try to place the media in the plotter in the middle of the job, so half is hanging over the front and half over the back, then line up your...
  6. Anyone in the Florida Keys?

Hey Dennis....too bad I won't be there when you will. Renee at signs by renee in Marathon is a super skilled sign gal, she could definitely help out. I also have a good friend retired but very capable grown up in the biz, if he's there I'm certain he could help as well. He works for us PT in...
  7. Can you find some deals on printers at the NBM show?

Agreed, a deal can be had anytime, UNLESS you are buying the show machine, then a REALLY great deal can typically be had. Show machines are typically pristine and nearly no hours. And you can get immediate delivery after the show. Has been a good strategy for us.
  8. Contour cutting prints from an L25500 on an XC540?

You can definitely do this. You could even use versa works. But, you won't get the advanced error correction you would with a summa or graphic. That being said, we did just what you want to do for years in a high volume environment without any issues, once we figured out what worked the best...
  9. Cutting .040, .063 and .080 aluminum sheets after they have been UV printed

Most painted aluminum is 3003 alloy, which prints well BUT is a real pain to rout. Most mill finish is 5052 which routs beautifully, but needs a white base to print well. Trade off. Have your aluminum pre-sheared then print. Way easier! Time is money, reduced aggravation is priceless.
  10. Atlantic City Sign World

We literally have people knocking at our door daily looking for work. The unemployment related to the casinos around here is that pervasive. Highly skilled intelligent folks too. Now to take the AC casino collapse and harness that to our advantage in terms of new shop space at bargain prices...
  11. Wholesale printing?

Firesprint is perhaps the best coro screen printer I have ever come across. We don't so screen print, but we do digital coro, other flatbed medias, decals, banners and wraps. Between Firesprint and us, you'd pretty much have most of your outsource needs covered. Be well! -Rick
  12. roland down and we have a large order

We run orders like this all of the time. If you send the specs and a visual of the art so we can look at the complexity of the weeding, I'll get you a competitive quote. rick@typestries.com
  13. Wraptacular

Their "special" is only a few cents less than our (and that of other wholesalers here) regular pricing on 100 sq ft +. They do throw in free UPS though. And love how it's right out there for the public to see. Classy.
  14. Wraptacular

That shop is not too far from us. They must be wrapping from "sunrise" on up, at those prices! One of those Kelly vans on the left is down our way from time to time, have no idea if the one I see came from their shop, but it looks like an install along the lines of the advertised price. To...
  15. I need some routing done.

We could run this for you if its 5052 sheet. Feel free to email me at rick@typestries.com and we can work out the details. I may even be able to deliver, we have regular trips to the capital region.
  16. Atlantic City Sign World

This is a timely discussion. Our local economy will suffer tremendously from this. From my town, all the way to cape may north to ny to the purveyors, and west to philly. Not only direct casino staff but staff at support companies. One of my friends has already cut two delivery drivers as a...
  17. Wholesale cardboard cutouts or lifelike stands...

As part of our specialty materials to the trade offerings, we offer them in coroplast, ultra board, and white on white cardboard. Contact me at rick@typestries.com for pricing info.
  18. "Last Chance Filters" For CET UV Printer -- Pall Acro?

I can't answer your question directly but can point you in the right direction. Our jeti's have 30pL heads and use 5 micron HDC II filters. So it's likely that your CET does not use the larger sizes you listed.
  19. Printed Corro Sign Question

    Wow, really? Thanks!
  20. Printed Corro Sign Question

We don't charge for full bleed (edge to edge) and our standard coro is 4mm white. Given the right conditions (sun beaming against sign back) you can see some show through on some jobs depending on coverage, especially if there is a lot of white negative space. If you are truly concerned, just...
