Folks: We have one of our well kept HP Latex printers for sale. It's a 60" L25500, purchased from Alpha Imaging and always maintained by Alpha techs. The machine is presently in production, printing flawlessly, with approx 225,500 sq ft printed. This may change a bit as we are still using it...
  2. Double sided banner troubles

A little insight from an outsource vendor for banners: If size warrants, and particularly for street pole banners, we will print them on one of the flatbeds on both sides of the media. The alignment is dead on, and the process is very repeatable for long runs. We add finishing marks, which are...

  7. Why I hate outsourcing

First off, thanks for the props guys... I just bounced a job of 50 to the trash. My evening press op was running a job, and a mechanical issue came up preventing proper ink delivery to the heads, resulting in the banding. He did catch it, but not until the fourth sheet. We addressed the...

  9. Signs 365 quality/resolution and printing photos?

Regardless of how great the work we all do is, garbage files yield garbage results. I would think that any trade printer would offer some guidance and assistance on a large job, and ensure that the resolution is sufficient for a decent result. Otherwise that's a lot of weight on your shoulders...

  11. Will eco solvent ink cure if you don't heat it?

Possible workaround-print on clear an apply the clear over the chrome. Works pretty darn well actually especially if you print onto an optically clear vinyl but regular clear might just suit your needs too.

  16. So, who knows anything about corona.................................. ??

Given that, you probably are getting old material as your hunch suggests. Who are you buying from? We have been getting the freshest coro from Grimco in Quakertown. I know I'm paying a bit more than the other wholesalers here on S101 but it makes me comfortable to know I'm getting decent...
  17. So, who knows anything about corona.................................. ??

We print a lot of coro. Over a pallet a week. Only use coroplast brand, and we are using inks formulated to stick to fluted poly. Of course it does not stick well to other things so we run those on our other jeti running standard UV ink. In the flatbed world, coro is considered a difficult...

    Powerful, simply stated advice, Gino!
  19. Modified Acrylic faces..................

Common problem with UV ink on acrylic actually. Good news is the ink scrapes right off! Lam them after printing-just run the sheets through your laminator.
