I had some decals printed on a gerber on clear scotchcal 220. They were printed silver and black.
I'm masking them and I noticed that the color lifts on to the transfer paper when removed. I'm guess a small amount is normal, right?
Does more come off if the transfer is on for a long time.
thanks
good point, thanks.
I'm planning on using paintmask now and just painting them to avoid any peeling issues. Then we're not limited to vinyl colors as well.
I have a few logos to put up in a boardroom and retail store. I've been reading about different vinyls peeling and falling off painted drywall.
These will be cut vinyl not printed and latex paint is typical.
I use Mactac 9800 primarily. Will that work or is there always a risk of vinyl peeling...
I guess there are/were some known issues with the bamboo tablets. Seems like it cleared up somewhat after a restart. The mouse doesn't track right on the screen visually.
Looks promising, I like the way the vectors can be manipulated together.
But first problem is it doesn't like my tablet. Anyone else have tablet issues?
here's one template/cartoon style vector from photo. this one was for myself but I'd like to do more of these. I usually print out the picture and sketch over it to customize it and pick out the shapes.
I had a few glitches with it working in openoffice. There are a few formulas that don't translate properly in openoffice. They can be fixed but it's on my other computer so I forget specifically which ones the were.
I can't figure out why people think you can't vector in photoshop.
I must be a little backwards, I mostly use Photoshop for vectorizing artwork. I find the nodes and pen tools to be a bit smoother to work with than in illy. If theres a bunch of text and layout then I always use illy but if I'm...
I tried one of the cheaper brands,it was at least 6x8 or bigger. It was terrible. I took it back and got a 4x6 wacom bamboo. I like the smaller one better for maneuvering around the screen. With the mouse on the tablet you can pick it up and move like a normal mouse. When you have the pen you...
Hi, I'm looking at buying a used Roland SC-500. It doesn't have the heater upgrade installed. I've learned here that is quite important. It's currently running and using eco-sol inks. It had new heads last year. They're asking $6000(cad) for it.
Any advice on that price or any quirks to look...
it won't matter what you spray on it, as soon as the vinyl slides on concrete or a rail it's going to tear. It's definitely not worth the extra time for spraying and drying if he's in a rush.
