  1. Security Crest?

The umm.. graphic clearly shown in the post above that has been there the whole time. My bad.
  2. Security Crest?

Good Day! Does anyone know where I might be able to get a vector file similar to this? The customer has requested quite a few changes, but it would be nice to start with the leaves/crown type graphics and then mangle it to his will. Maybe even just the name of that type of graphic would get...
  3. Plotter for cutting Paint protection film

Whoops, didn't realize the thread was 2 weeks old... Sorry I missed it :P
  4. Plotter for cutting Paint protection film

I don't think it takes anything very specific to cut. I ran a few test pieces through the Roland SP540 to see if the machine was capable of cutting it before we got into it, in the end we had to get a new plotter due to software incompatibilities. We're currently using a Graphtec FC7000MK2 30"...
  5. outlook express problem

No, Thunderbird needs 98 minimum. 95 is a tough go nowadays.
  6. Intel Vs Amd

I have been a hardcore AMD fan for many years, but there's no denying Intel's hold on the performance crown at the moment. 2 of my main machines currently are running Intel (1x8400E, 1xQ6600) and if I didn't have so much money tied up in that fancy Crosshair motherboard, my last AMD system...
  7. drops of magenta

We had a similar issue on our SP540V at one time. They called it "dot drop" and said it was due to lack of cleaning. We made a schedule after that whether or not we thought it needed the cleaning and haven't had any issues since.
  8. Cutting a print after you laminate it?

What software did you design your logo in?
  9. How to Change Print Head on sp540v

I would definitely change the dampers. When we had our head replacement scare on out 540V it just turned out to be 2 dampers gone. Did the service myself in a short afternoon after we got the parts in, not much to it.
  10. Anti-Virus Software

Kaspersky is by far my favourite. This review holds less weight now that it's almost a year old, but we still 100% trust Kaspersky to our network. http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,130869/article.html
  11. My SP300V and its printing problem..

Could you just put it on the network line? Or is that how you buy these things, one or the other?
  12. My SP300V and its printing problem..

When you initially turn on the machine it will show what version you're running. 6.60 is the newest.
  13. My SP300V and its printing problem..

Firmware updates can be found here. But if you haven't done one before it might be a good idea to give your dealer a call and have him walk you through it. Again, I don't know if that would get you any further ahead on your problem, but it certainly couldn't make things worse.
  14. My SP300V and its printing problem..

It might be a bit of a grasp, but when was the last time you updated the firmware in your 300V? By "turning on", you're just using the sub-power button on the keypad and not the main power on the side, right?
  15. AVG ANTI VIRUS Firewall Software DON'T PAY 4 IT!

Perhaps I'm giving up too easily? I'm fine with that, bottom line is my time doing it the most economical way possible unless otherwise requested. I don't applaud a 7 year old 98 box that's never needed a reformat in the hands of a technician. You give it to my mother-in-law and it'll need...
  16. AVG ANTI VIRUS Firewall Software DON'T PAY 4 IT!

From a technician side of things... How hard should a person try to dump 3 or 4 different viruses and punt out a plethora of malware infestations to clean a system back to it's outdated original state. I do see what you're saying that it's "always possible", but rather than soak up too much...
  17. AVG ANTI VIRUS Firewall Software DON'T PAY 4 IT!

I went and snagged a review from PC World since nobody has heard of Kaspersky. I was also quite skeptical when it was originally pitched to me. I can honestly say I have it installed on all 4 of my home machines and all 6 machines here at work.
  18. AVG ANTI VIRUS Firewall Software DON'T PAY 4 IT!

I've heard good things about AVG's spyware software, but don't trust it at all for my Antivirus. Kaspersky is actually my new favourite, now that I've came to my senses on just how bloated Norton is (Still great protection). Kaspersky is excellent virus protection with extremely small (but...
  19. BUSTED!!! Now what???

Bow chicka bow! As mentioned previously, AdAware is a solid bet, as well Spybot Search & Destroy is one of my favourites. If you're looking to put down some money, PC Tools' Spyware Doctor is supposed to be one of the new big guns. Good luck
