  1. 4over just cost us a major client

We use Creative Banner Displays for stuff like that if we don't make it ourselves.
  2. 4over just cost us a major client

If you lost the client over it, it sounds like it wasn't delivered in time. If there was time, 4Over would replace the product before you delivered it, and you wouldn't have lost the customer. Unless you were making the mistake of having them dropship and not inspecting the product before delivery.
  3. 4over just cost us a major client

The mixup on shipping a different client's product is on them. But I've never had that happen with 4Over, and probably neither has your company. On the other hand, all I've ever used them for is what they started out to make when they were founded: printed paper products like business cards and...
  4. Need Help Old Shop New, Equipment

We do motocross graphics. We started with a Mimaki JV3, but when the Epson S70670 came out we switched to that. It has the capability of doing metallic silver and white. The white means we can make clear swingarm and fork decals, but you can get by without that. I don't see used Epsons for sale...
  5. Need Help Graphtec Cutting in different depths at X Axis

Check the teflon strip it cuts against. You might have a groove worn in the first 20" where the majority of your plotting occurs.
  6. Need Help BUBBLES! Need clear answers on vinyl application

You will get more small air bubbles if it's hot and the metal is hot when you apply the vinyl. Obviously, it is technique dependent, as everyone has stated. But small bubbles will go away on their own in time.
  7. Are they any machines that can help to produce a lot ready-to-use decals?

Automatic weeding machines exist but they still don't pick the holes. Before I opened my own company 12 years ago, the one I managed had a manufacturer client which used us for cut vinyl decals that went on their satellite domes. They were done from 2 colors of vinyl which had to be weeded...
  8. Help... Can you apply vinyl to this type of brick?

re: your original question, the answer is no. You cannot apply vinyl to that kind of brick. Possibly you might get high strength adhesive vinyl in a large sheet to stick and even conform with heat. But it will not last as you'd expect it to on, say, an aluminum panel.
  9. Suggestions Replacing Outdoor Sign

The old sign looks like it's 3/8" MDO plywood. I'd use 6mm ACM on this.
  10. Question Script font

Need to find this script font or something very similar.
  11. Need Help Epson surecolor S30670 service manual

I think the tech menu is accessed via a laptop connected to the network adapter. That's how they do it when I call service techs in.
  12. Corel Draw X8

Have you applied the available hotfixes? http://www.coreldraw.com/en/pages/patches/cdgs/x8/
  13. Does anybody use flat pricing for their vehicle wraps?

We don't flat rate wraps, but when people ask we do give ballpark prices for the various types...partial car, full car, partial truck, full truck, partial van, full van, etc., with the proviso that we are only giving them rough estimates so they can have an idea. Probably 90% of the people who...
  14. Need supplier for a street banner

Sail cloth or canvas. As far as I know there are no online hand painted wholesalers.
  15. Epson S60800/etc - how to print double sided?

It's terrible. Don't do it. I took an order for a large number of double sided campaign banners for a local election back in 2014. The concept of doing it is sound. You use test prints of a thin rectangle the same width as your banner to set the offsets in your RIP so it prints truly centered on...
  16. 1624X PRINTING INCORRECT SIZE

It's not the "right" way to fix the problem, but the fastest way might be to trial and error making the rectangle a little longer until you get it just the size you want. Just print black rectangle outlines slightly longer than 48" in your software until they come out right and use that dimension.
  17. S50675 - Pantone Colors not matching. Cyan especially

If you create a new design with the Pantone 298 in it, how does it print? What about the whole strip from 297 through 300? as far as how Onyx works, the media channels on the printer only control things like media feed, media compensation, temperature, head calibration, etc. They have nothing...
  18. S50675 - Pantone Colors not matching. Cyan especially

Was your Oracal sample swatch printed with the 3M IJ180C profile or a different one? I'd be inclined to believe the problem is with the media.
  19. Need Help Font ID, Please

    Hate Pinterest fonts...
  20. Gloss or Matte Print and Laminate Question

We use gloss for signs like that. It's no different than the finish I'd have had 25 years ago with a painted background and painted graphics, or even if I use ACP and cast vinyl. Those all have gloss finish as well. Color saturation and contrast are better with gloss. We tend to reserve luster...
