A good chiropractor teaches you stretches. It's not all joint cracking like on tv. I worked in a tool warehouse lifting 50lb boxes all day. My back was killing me.so much I couldn't bend. I went to a chiropractor and he taught Me proper stretches. To this day I've had no back pain last longer...
Should be fine doing it in one piece, with or without Overlam then. If you do crinkle it and have to lift.. just heat it up a bit first to make it softer and easier to lift...less likely to crack it that way.
We do a lot of 4x8 window installs and we've never had it break. We do use overlam...
When I started working at my current place we had 40-50 rolls of odd colors. A year of working there goes by.... 99% of them were never touched. Another year... Same. Third year... Same. I asked if I could donate them to a school and I was told no, we might need them some day.
Company got...
You can do it all in one piece. The most important part is the setup... If you're angled even a little, or start drifting when installing you're going to have a bad time.
Whether you overlam or not is up to you - how long is the staying up? Indoors or outdoors? No overlam is super easy not to...
There's so many good shows. And even though I have friends who watch most of the same stuff... I've got hooked on stuff they find is stupid. Some of the lesser mainstream shoes are great.
I suggest watching the first episode of everything that sounds remotely interesting. If it sucks you've...
Ok.. after playing around with it, I think I get what we're doing wrong.
I usually open it in onyx and then open it in job editor. Which doesn't save the .onx file...
However if you open up the file FROM within job editor instead of just hitting "Job in job editor" it'll ask you where to save...
I always have view all files on, including operating files... And onyx has never saved a .onx file with my original artwork... did you guys change a setting somewhere?
The onlyway I ever figured out how to do it was to copy the files from c:\onyx\work\printername, and copy them back whenever I...
It's funny, in Canada unsolicited emails are illegal. You need to opt in to get mails from anyone.. it's illegal and can result in a huge fine otherwise.
The company/person has to first agree to be contacted... By opt in newsletters / etc.
But all these companies I don't care about can send...
We were told never to use liquids as it could damage the graphtec. We had our service tech from grimco change it once... He used some.kind of eraser that rubbed it all off.
We've changed it a few times since and we use rapid remover... Comes off quick. I imagine so long as you're not dumping a...
All your files are saved in the onyx work folder under the printer name. Something like c:/onyx/work/hp latex blah blah.
Every month I manually back up the folder - then if I need to go back to get certain colors, I pull the job name out of that folder.. Drop it into onyxs current work folder...
Check the cost of shipping 100 labels from ns to say bc. It's not worth it.. Shipping in Canada sucks.
I used to sell custom stickers on say etsy... One time the shipping was close to $45 for a large decal and I had 20% off shipping. I drove to America and shipped it from USA to Canada for...
Dec and Jan are dead slow for us. I'm talking people standing around for weeks straight just cleaning up with one or two jobs here and there. We used to have fillers for those months but lost the contract. I'm hoping this year we get another... I go out of my kind with nothing to do.
Every...
I've only ever noticed it when printing on material with plastic backers... Such as 3M 8518 overlam. Never seen it on paper... But we don't do much double sided printing, so I don't know if it's a common issue or not.
Turning the vacuum down should help, though.
We have proffit sharing. Not sure the percentage... It's usually around 2k a year.
The guy who's always asleep in the corner gets the same 2k as the guy who's working his ass off. It's not really a good motivator, to be honest.
I hate making mistakes... Not because of the proffit. Media is...
Some media you.do need to lower the vacuum otherwise that happens.
There isn't really a set vacuum... It all depends on the media. I'd lower it until you don't get those marks, and hope it's not too low that it causes head strikes / tunneling.
You can also try using the output platen...
I always have the back of our printer open. I like being able to see stuff as it prints... Usually the lights are so close to the media it doesn't matter.
I was doing a test and printing on golf balls with a jig... I went to look at it to see if I was printing on the right spot... since it was...
Different types of vinyls. It's static cling.. you can lift it up and move it and reinstall as many times as you want.
I'd go with the ij40 if they're large. Static information tends to press.differently and gives different colors unless you press really hard. We use it for small stuff... Not...
Chrome... For now. With their upcoming changes that block 3rd party ad blockers like ublock, I'll be ditching it as soon as they do.
Then I'll switch to chromium. I also have Firefox for websites that chrome doesn't work too well in... I prefer chrome because of how integrated and seamless it...
I bought a latex 110 for my garage. Two home insurance providers denied me coverage. The third, made me pay as a business and I'm paying a $60 a month premium on it. My insurance for my little townhome went from $350ish to about $1000". Something I didn't know before I purchased my printer...
You won't find an oder less printer.
Solvents aren't safe... The new green ink ones are supposed to be better but I believe still need ventilation.
Latex is water based and while the ink is safe... There's still a smell from the vinyl heating up. The cheaper vinyls have carcogens in them...
