  1. Coroplast Stinger board

    Looks like a golf ball.
  2. Font Help Please

    Still think it's not Futura?
  3. Max Metal question

I would suggest coating it with dry erase film. As others have told me, regular gloss vinyl might work, but may not erase well if it's written on it for too long. We got a really nice sample of some of this film made by Aslan. I'm not sure where you can purchase it though.
  4. Font Help Please

    Futura, perhaps?
  5. Input needed on logo design

I recommend 'Logo Design' both 1 and 2 by Dan Antonelli, 'Logo, Font, and Lettering Bible' by Leslie Cabarga, any of the design, color, and typography books by Jim Krause, and Logo Lounge books for inspiration. These would be a good way to start. There are just too many problems with this to...
  6. install 4ft X 18ft panel on wall

This should not be hard....tape the whole thing to the wall, getting it level. Hinge the middle vertically, lay one half then the other...providing you have 2 people. Agree. ^^^
  7. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

It will be 1000 times better perhaps if the "V-MAX" isn't italicized.
  8. Cutting 6mm (1/4") ACM question

If I make the cut past the aluminum and into the plastic it leaves a very clean edge. Seldom a need for finish sanding.
  9. Old VS New - Need Critiques!!!

Same thing I noticed right away. I'm guessing the boss is a Van Halen fan?
  10. Cutting 6mm (1/4") ACM question

I have my first opportunity to work with 6mm Max-Metal ACM panels. We usually do a lot of 3mm panels but the 6mm is new to us. Our usual practice for cutting down 3mm sheets is a straight edge and utility knife. We score one side, bring it to the edge of the table and snap it right off clean...
  11. New Logo for fairly new sign company

And here I thought this post was some sort of joke...oh wait...it is a joke.
  12. Dry erase

Thanks for the pointers, guys. I appreciate the feedback.
  13. Dry erase

I have a customer wanting a very large map printed on paper/card stock with a vinyl over-laminate. They also need the vinyl to work with dry erase markers. So my question I have is would any clear calendered gloss over-laminate work with dry erase markers? I've used dry erase markers before...
  14. Very annoyed.

This is the reason why I'm doing less "quotes" these days and more "proposals". I believe if you call it a proposal and detail the materials used, they realize they do have other options, at least, and that they may be comparing apples to oranges when comparing quotes.
  15. What does everyone think of this? Sign Concept...

Yep. This definitely works much better.
  16. What does everyone think of this? Sign Concept...

As a matter of opinion, I disagree. I prefer dots over dashes.
  17. Mascot for local dog park - now in logo!

I don't mind the typeface used, but agree completely about the nervous and unhappy part.
  18. Shipping Large Decals/Stickers

Try R-tape Clear Choice AT75, wrap the decals around a standard 3" tube with shrink wrap and ship inside a larger tube, or box. At least that's what we would do.
  19. Wow it's cold out!

-6 in Central Illinois near Peoria. Much nicer than yesterday.
  20. Taking my dog for her last walk around the lake.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a dog is just like losing a family member.
