Hi, I have to rebuild this.
Any suggestions on a font to base this on? I can always trace it but I want it to be perfect.

At first I thought you were talking about Hot Hues, which I have tried.
I have not tried these.
Can you use regular turps etc or do you have to add hardeners etc?
That's what intimidated me about the Hot Hues.
I do use quite a bit of Ronan these days.

I know I've added to the number. And I am a born and raised PA-er with roots in this state before the Revolutionary War. And grey roots from reading some of the stuff on here!
:)
Congratulations Fred.

I order it cut from either of my suppliers for a fee of about $7.
They also sell end-caps in case I end up cutting it myself with my trusty circular saw/straight edge/clamp method.

There is a traditional UK signwriter named Ron Lloyd, who does outstanding painted bar tops like you would not believe.
Could you not take a page from his notebook and varnish over the prints?
(I don't know anything about prints)
The bar that we go to sometimes has those business card things...
You asked for a professional opinion (this is round three of the same logo, right?) and I gave it.
I think I will keep my opinions to myself in the future.
It's stellar. I wouldn't change a thing.
...I still think the shamrock needs a black outline
Try the alternate "r" in the font used for the name for a better flow.
(check your character map)
I'd put the icon on the other side of the name.
I'd make the bottom panel maroon for better contrast rather than the tan.
The circle in the wrench...
I really dislike the mix of upper/lowercase/italic "f" in the top line.
I think that's a big mistake, adding an optical confusion to an already puzzling name.
Try normal caps and lowercase for the top line maybe?
It's OK if someone else did it but it's not up to the standards of what you usually produce.
The lobster looks real, the produce looks fake.
The black is too strong on the banner.
You have hard drop shadows mixed with soft drop shadows.
"Wholesale" doesn't match anything and is kind of just...
I'd seriously consider using Bob's attempt.
I'd use a simpler font for his name, something clean looking.
His has a lot better balance and I like how what the guy does stands out more than his name.
I still think the shamrock needs a black outline to better tie it into the hand.

I really dislike the gradients for one.
The ring needs to be gold.
Not in love with the Dakota font either.
What about adding another panel underneath that said WINE • SPIRITS
Then you could put an ampersand after BUTCHER
When shading a script I have always been taught to go down and to the...
