I have never had a problem getting good reds. After you do a linearization, what does your profile chart look like. It should have good reds in it. So, there should be no reason that you can't get good reds. It could be that you set the ink limits too high and your gettting a milky look. What...

As you go to higher passes you can lower the curing temps. The 38 must not be the same as the 54. Seems that this is becoming an increasing problem with Ultraflex. Material not always the same. Are you getting ink coalescing with the 38 and not the 54?

I would start from scratch on the linearization, ink limits etc. before profiling.

For short runs you can print on lightweight banner like Ultraflex SuperPrint Economy FL and tape them at the edges. No blockout though.

Anybody get Vinyl Express Q series cutter to connect to Cutting Master 3. I have scan for USB cutter selected in preferences but CM3 cannot find the cutter. CM2 finds it just fine.

If your nozzles a relatively clean than do a printhead alignment.

What maintenance have you done? Nozzle check? If good, Alignment? etc.

Last week I did 20,000 2" x 3" stickers/labels. They were precut. If you think I should have done those on a solvent/latex ink printer you are insane. Done on the digital press. Yes it is a laser/fused/toner. Right tool for the right job.

But you can print on polyester label sheets which will hold up just a well as cheap calendared vinyl.
