I had similar issues about 3 months ago - is your plotter connected via USB or serial cable? Also - what kind of plotter is it? This was SO FRUSTRATING when we just experienced this.

We do this quite a bit here. And as other here have mentioned, make your original cts as straight as possible. We then sand it with 80 grit, then 120. Then flame polish it with either pure oxygen or with a small butane torch. Just let the flames 'lick' the acrylic to prevent bubbling. and then...

I didn't read all the posts - but we have had success cutting them on the shop saw or band saw and then sanding the cut edges, very briefly and without over overaggressive, with 40-80 grit sandpaper to remove some of the adhesives that build up on the cut side. Hope this helps!

Yeah - I just seen that too in SignCraft! I really like that design. VERY effective.

You may have 2 object stacked on top of one another??? Every time we get two cuts on top of one another that is always the issue...

And as wedosigns said, spray down the transfer tape after application to break down the adhesive if you are still having problems peeling the tape.

I used to do a lot of install in Alaska in temps down to about -10 degrees, and we found that placing a space heater on the opposite side of the glass works quite well. Obviously this only really works if putting the graphics on the first surface and heat the second - otherwise the heater can't...

We use a Brother 6490CW and LOVE it. Its a multi-use machine so that can be good. But the really nice features is that it will scan and print up to 11" x 17" (Tabloid). Good quality prints too, I think. Separate color cartridges too, which I think is pretty nice. The price is right too at...
