  2. Caxton Mark Edge Foils?

Does anyone have any experience with Caxton Mark brand of edge replacement foils? I just noticed that Proveer sells them here for a pretty good price point, but i've never heard of them? Anyone?
  3. Having problem with install.

Corrugated metal is a nightmare, but the best you can do is buy a nail punch and use it to put a dent in the metal for your drill bit to sit it while it starts, if you are really having issues, you can do like above and drill using a small bit to make the hole, than go back with the proper sized...

I'll try to take a photo later today for you, it's a very clean cut
  5. Will filiment knifeless tape work here?

It should work, if you go here http://www.langeman.com/WrapCut/application/videos it shows you something similar to what you want to do. the filiment is on one side of the tape. Check out wrapcut tape, it's about 1/3 the price of knifeless, and it's made in ontario. you can order right off...

  8. Decolit quality

Same here, when I asked why they didn't tell me it stunk when I ordered it, they told me that they didn't think it was an issue and the smell should go away after a few days, well it doesn't.
  9. What kind of terms do you have with your vendors?

all of our regular suppliers gave us net 30 after a few months of paying them on time, all new suppliers ask for a credit card at the time of ordering, which is perfectly acceptable as we have no history with them. I don't know if they will give you net 60 right off the bat, you might be better...
  10. Decolit quality

Yeah that's what ticked me off, Decolit is one of the most expensive retractable materials out there, but as you said the quality is really going downhill, I've gotten cheap no name banner material with less imperfections in the roll than my last 2 orders of Decolit.
  11. Decolit quality

We had the EXACT same issue with some stock we got for All Graphics. I called them on it and they told me that they were aware of the issue, but there is nothing they can do about it, all the stock they have is the same. I got a sample of Ultraflexx supersmooth PET blockout, it prints really...
  12. shop addition

looks nice, where is the bathroom? and more importantly, where is the coffee pot?
  13. Printing on Laminate

i've printed on oraguard 210 before, worked fine.
  14. Outdoor Banner

Do you have any banner making experience? If you are making smaller banners that don't have to be subjected to high winds and stress, you can easily print on 13oz material and hem the edges with banner tape, this should last about 6-8 months outdoors depending on a bunch of different conditions.
  15. Outdoor Banner

outsource it, let them deal with it. everything is pretty much the same as a normal banner, but the hemming is going to be a PITA unless you have a proper setup.
  16. what should I do about this?

Check out an issue of signcraft, there are about 5 companies advertizing in there that sell it, I don't have one here or I would look.
  17. what should I do about this?

Like I said on the Phone barry, tell them that the paint on the walls isn't allowing your tape to stick, so the only other option would be to put 4 small screws into the wall. I know they don't want screws, but if you are having to replace the sign for free, that's the only way you are going to...
  18. Bank Change Overs

If you are worried aout fly-by-night sign shops not pulling permits, explain to the bank why you need to pull permits for this type of job and what could happen if a permit is not taken out. Educate them on the process, and ask them to ensure that all quotes they are getting include permits, so...
  19. Basic Essentials to start a Signage Business

you're not going to start a medium sized sign business right off the bat, especially when you don't know enough about the industry to know what tools you need. It all depends on what type of sign shop you want to be, do you want to be a quicky-sticky type of shop or are you looking to target a...
  20. Aggressive Adhesive

cheap coroplast signs, not worth the effort to come up with some clever system. On the plus side, they are cheap enough to replace a few every month without much of an impact on the owners wallet.
