There's always that tradeoff. IF you use OEM ink and something goes wrong. They'll probably fix it for you or point you in the right direction depending on the circumstances. If you use 3rd party ink and something goes wrong, they wont touch it.
I'm curious how people let their printer print with the nozzles looking like the black nozzle test? Isn't there some sort of cleaning procedure every day or week to insure all the nozzles fire correctly?
I dont use roll to rolls latex/solvant printers ect. we only run uv flatbeds.
I never had 11 so not sure how big the differences where from 11 to 12. I went from x10 to x12. It was a decent jump.
I'm an advantage holder which is basically a subscription. Any software upgrade is "free"
I'm not sure if it's free to update from for example 12.0.0 to 12.0.1 which was an...

I found this on the internet. It seems like a pretty basic spectrophotometer. I doubt you'd be able to create profiles with it, but it seems to be a neat little device that can read spot colours.
It's not something i'd use in a print shop, but for a designer that works...
I run an Oce 480XT which is the next model up from the 300 series.
Looks like the 365GT is an upgraded version of the 360GT. Main difference would be using the newer double heads which means it prints twice as quick. But i think most of the internals would be older tech to keep the price down...
Getting accurate colours
The reason you're not getting accurate Reds if you go 0/100/100/0 and receiving something like 0/70/95/0 is because your ICC profile is not allowing it. The way the profile has been rendered thinks your colour gamut from your printer is not capable of producing that...
People complaining about maintenance on a latex printer.
I own UV flat beds. They require daily maintenance I.e nozzle cleaning, nozzle swabbing and cleaning under the carriage.
And then i know my colour will always be consistent and no banding.
We've got the space so we've got a huge 3.2m table saw. But if space is limited. Don't see why not. With signage you don't need any more than straight cuts. probably be easier than loading a table saw.
Stick with the Oce. If you keep them maintained, they are not problematic. I'm pretty sure there's a few different contract plans, you should most defiantly speak to them for options.
I have a 480xt. out of contract. brilliant machine.
SwissQ would be another option but one of my service guys...
I've got an Oce Arizona 480XT. Love it. love the support from oce also.
I don't like swiss Q. i feel the machine is a little flimsy last time i seen one.
Fuji is a relabeled arizona.
judging from the users profile, Its an Oce Arizona 350gt. (the Acuity is exactly the same, just rebranded as fuji as fuji make the ink)
The most common issue for a vacuum error is the vacuum reservoir that keep vacuum in the heads. they can start to split.
