It's becoming quite a hobby of mine. I've got about a half dozen that are finished and about as many that I am currently working on. I don't know if I intend to sell them or not but it sounds like it might not be a bad idea to release them some day. I need to upgrade my software from the home...
I spent a few hours here and there over the last couple of months creating this font. I think it's pretty cool and original. What do you guys think? I call it "Maxx Voltage" because I couldn't think of anything better at the time. Perhaps a better name is in order? I decided to kill a few...
I'm going to be in need of two identical dimensional signs measuring 78" x 54" (Most likely 2" thick). We would prefer to have the CNC carving and painting all outsourced. If you are a wholesaler who can do this please respond or private message me. Thanks.
Well you'd better throw a few 600 watt metal halides and high pressure sodiums on top of that setup or you might be out of business fast. Those cabinets won't benefit you much more than raising your electric bill unless you plan on using them for seedlings and clones.
By the way...I've got...
If there's any chance at all that this thing might be misconstrued as trashy then just lengthen her shorts to below the butt cheeks and call it a day. This design is way nicer than the first. I feel there is too much bias going on with the ladies. No offense to Jill or Marlene as you are...
Thank you for the help again, Moze. I wish I had a small fraction of the knowledge that you and Gino possess about these kinds of things that are new for us.
We just had a credit card processing salesman in the shop this morning showing us some new hi tech gadgets that can certainly make accepting payment easier anywhere you go these days. Good for you for being on top of your game.
651 is okay for signs. 751 and 951 are much better for vehicles. A sheet of substrate costs $70. A car, truck, boat, etc. costs much more. Why would you use anything less than cast? I've just come to the point were I realize the many benefits of using cast over calendered and now two of our...
The "in most cases" is the only thing I would scare me off. These things are hot. If I get a chance I will post a pic later of the cabinet turned on. I'm guessing this may be why the company auctioned them off. Perhaps the performance of the cabinet wasn't up to their expectations for...
Absolutely. And those are very wise words, I might add.
The more I think about it, I know you're right on all counts. But if I didn't want to go the pan face route, would replacing the lamps with LED's be a good alternative? Right now I'm torn between that, covering the front half of the...
Thanks for the tips. I'll keep pondering this until I come up with the best possible solution. Pan faces are a little more expensive than what we would prefer to go with, so I will try the etched glass vinyl first, then the aluminum strips.
One other scenario I wondered about was if we...
We have a friend who acquired some indoor backlit sign cabinets from a company auction. He owed us a favor and since he got them incredibly cheap, he gave them to us to do with as we see fit. So we decided to use one to hang in our shop window. These cabinets seem to be pretty high end and...
