  1. Flames for truck

Sure. It's a little hard to explain but I'll give it a shot. I basically start with a black background and work my yellow over the top in layers so if I screw something up along the way it's easy enough to go in and fix it or undo it. What I started with is the lasso tool. I drew a lasso...
  2. At what retail cost is banner printing in your local area ?

We must be the lucky ones. We get our banners from 365 and charge between a 200 and 400% markup depending on the total sq. footage of banners ordered and we probably do 90% of the jobs we quote. However we include artwork in that pricing structure so a small portion of that markup includes...
  3. Time to get legal in X5 ... or just upgrade at a massive discount.

Holy crap, that's cheap. Even at full price, Corel Draw X5 is worth every penny.
  4. Flames for truck

They can be painted in Photoshop. I did these flames from scratch in about 45 minutes as a practice exercise to see how realistic I could make them. Fun stuff.

    Pretty wild... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35yeVwigQcc
  6. Can you put decals overtop of decals?

Just make sure you only use calendered over calendered or cast over cast, but not one over the other or vice versa.
  7. Need some help and opinions for tag line

I agree. Rides is very informal and makes me think the target audience would be much younger than the typical executive. I also like "Executive Coach".

    Uline at the moment, unfortunately.
  11. Cleaning Substrates...What do you use?

We've been using 99% isopropyl alcohol for about everything we clean.
  12. New signs from Piccadilly

Awesome! How do you achieve the wood grain effect? It's very convincing.
  13. Vinyl zapper weirdness...

Let the customer deal with it. That's my solution. ;) Just kidding, but that would be great in a perfect world.

I'm sorry, but it is you who does not know what I am talking about. Allow me to illustrate.
  15. aspent the weekend workin....

What ever it takes on the drivers side doesn't line up either. It was put on in two pieces.
  16. Crazy what some people get away with.

I agree. It's most likely not the sign guys fault. Most likely it's the third scenario you described. However, I will probably find out exactly how this happened as soon as the company representative gets back to me next week. This sign has managed to survive this way for ten years but...
  17. Crazy what some people get away with.

We got called to this location to check out a "broken sign" that needs "repair". Upon arriving at the site and taking a closer look, we realized this sign needs more than just repair, this sign needs completely replaced. The following pics show the condition we found the sign in. I can't...

  19. Need a Retro Font for lettering a Vintage 1950s Studebaker Pick-up...

I have a simple sans serif font I created referencing hand lettering from that time period. I needed it for a job and couldn't find the font I needed so rendered it myself. Message me if interested and I will see if I can post an example (I'm on my phone at the moment).
  20. Matching these fonts is just not my thing today.

I found the script as well, or at least it's close. Quill. Thanks again for the help. :)
