  3. latest logo job

Here's another $500 logo design (hey... I tried to ask $600.. but he had a budget of 500, so I caved  ...but he is a repeat client, bordering on "friend") so anyway, I am over budget on time, and while I'm always open to hearing all the many ways it could be better, it's kinda/sorta...
  4. Design opinions

"always a debatable topic" ?? I don't think so... at least for text, I don't think it looks good out of true level in more then 1% of situations myself... I mean someone could debate anything.... but I rarely follow the body's angles, unless they are extremely subtle I have split the difference

put the globe in the O of Marino, and straighten out the tag line under the logo & phone under that. . Also, I don't think you need that white, nor does it look good stopping at the doors if you do use it. That vehicle is probably a lot lighter then your photo, so shoot another pic, or lighten...

I did a few $1000 sandblasted signs with custom mixed latex house paint, over quick drying Zinsser oil based shellac primer, and they looked awesome for years.. ...but then on a different job, I painted 1-shot oil based paint over tan colored pre-primed 1x6 boards from Home depot & the crap...

  17. Channel Letter Install only Pricing

my rule of thumb in setting a price is to start by knowing what i NEED to make, and then what I perceive the value to be... and to whatever degree possible, to assess the current market value... but at the end of all that I think about what price I will feel like "damn, my competitor got it for...

  20. So....has anybody ever...

one of my more expensive lessons had to do with $30, 000.00 worth of kine bud, dried, cut & trimmed.. which had been kept dry & safe, triple wrapped & buried in the jungle through the 6 weeks of harvest and trimming season.. then, 2 days before my flight to the mainland, visions of a new 4x4...
