The best help I received when I got my equipment that is similar to yours was to have the folks who sold it to me help remotely. They connected right to my computer from 1000 miles away and ran a job or three so I could see the adjustments and settings required.

I've had the image disappear and it go black on me as well. Never lost anything and after clicking layers a few times everything came back. Annoying. No bandwith or freeze up issues. Running Windows 8 and CS6.
