  1. Trying to find this image

I've never used google image search before. Tried it with an image I searched tineye.com for yesterday and google found it where tineye didn't on some Russian blog. Guess I'll switch to google.
  2. Interesting article on the importance of fonts

On our service contracts, we pay by the click and it doesn't matter the ink coverage. Think I'll continue using the most effective font, rather than the thinnest..
  3. City logo design critique

    Bookmarked. Thanks!
  4. Help me pick a calendered wrap vinyl

I've used the Arlon both with cast and with calendared. The calendared lasted almost 2 years on the sides of my truck bed and removed cleanly with minimal effort.
  5. So you can trademark color? Who knew?

http://www.geekosystem.com/wiffle-ball-trademark-yellow/ We recently came across a photo that’s apparently been circulating the Internet for a little while now, which depicts a Wiffle Ball bat that says “The color YELLOW is a registered trademark of The Wiffle Ball, Inc.” No, the pic isn’t...
  6. Best bang for the buck?

I usually use the gloss, but have also used the matte with similar results. Without lamination, the 3640 is thin and can be a challenge to mount (especially with heavy solid prints) so maybe the extra thickness of the 3164 would be beneficial? There is another difference between the two, 3640...
  7. Best bang for the buck?

I do my cheap stuff on Oracal 3640. 54" x 150' for me is $127.50 and your daughter wouldn't need glue to mount them. My 50" photo paper is 50" x 100' and is $138.45.
  8. Printing on Magnet Material

I've switched to cast lam on calendared material at least to prevent shrinkage/curling. Cast/cast if I can squeeze it.
  9. Event Ticket Printing

+1 for Blanks USA. We run them through our presses for 1 - 2 color and our digital copier for full color. Paper comes in white or a few pastels and in quantities or 500 - 5000 http://kellypaper.com/shop/paper/tickets/1-2000-jumbo-raffle-tickets-90lb-index We use Kelly Paper as our local...
  10. Avery wrap laminate dol1060 vs dol1360?

We've just switched to the 1360, and it is beautiful! Looks a little strange without the white backing paper at first, I thought it looked kind of yellow, but once it comes off their backing material lays on, wow! Another thing I really like about the thinner material is printed and die cut...
  11. Anyone know this font?

Closest I could find in whatthefont = http://www.findmyfont.com/index.php/fonts/font-preview?fset=URW&ffam=Dextor%20Becker%20Black%20Caps%20-%20Regular&fstyle=&fsize=60&fid=172db639fdc452e399abffd3a8388963&wrap=2&text=B
  12. Mutoh Wrap Class

I just received an email from Linda, the Avery Rep who was at the class: Everyone gets a choice of either MPI 1005SC EZRS with DOL 1360 both 54" x 25 yards or a roll of the Supreme Wrapping Film 60" x 25 yards in gloss or matte finish. Feller's catalog price on the Supreme Wrapping Film 900...
  13. Mutoh Wrap Class

This is similar to the analogy I made during the class. I felt like I was learning how to play guitar from Eric Clapton. Watching Justin lay a panel and what he could do with the vinyl, made me want to throw my hands up and quit. I'll never be that good. That said, I got my money's worth from...
  14. Stuck in a rut!

How about that camo dipping stuff? https://graphics.averydennison.com/en/home/resource-center/wrap-training.html
  15. Mutoh Wrap Class

Finally, tomorrow I wrap. Taking Mutoh's wrap class with Justin Pate tomorrow in Phoenix. I've been trying to go to this for a couple years now, but the timing never worked. Been too busy to get excited about it, until today. It will be nice to have some actual hands on training from one of the...
  16. Hardhat Decals

We use a lot of 4560. Have some 10" x 20" decals for the Lions Club on their blue poly barrel train that I store for them that have been on their for years, no problems. Now those are curved! If I recall correctly, we used just the calendared lam on them. For hard hat customers, I will laminate...
  17. Arizona doesn't play around
