I noticed the same thing on a wrap we did in two long print runs.
Two panels printed a distance apart were slightly different.
I think the best option when colour continuity is important is to try and break it up into shorter lots.
The printer does a head check and recovery each time a job...
It's just a backup copy so how its it a bad idea?
You break the drive, you replace it, still having the original files.
The NAS is setup as RAID too so if one drive fails you still have the files on the other(s).
You mean you only had one copy of all your files?
That is epically idiotic.
Run for your life is probably gunna be thrown at me but I'm up for a challenge if it's possible.
Customer has an old van, just about at the end of its life, and they want to dress it up as a kind of mobile billboard.
They like the look of this and want to know if it's possible.... thoughts...
We have a Qnap TS-412 NAS server in the shop.
It runs FTP, a webserver and all sorts of other stuff.
They have an app called Qsync which sounds like it can do what you want.

I can access my files from anywhere using it's FTP/file manager...
It's a Roland yeah?
Print first side, let dry then load other side.
Poke a small hole in the top LHS corner point.
Bring your carriage over and set the pointer over your mark.
Hit "set base point" button... print 2nd side left justified.
