    Welcome from ME. I started with a 42" 5500 UV. I quickly moved to a 74" Roland. The 5500 is a great machine to cut your teeth on. I know of a shop in NV that runs 15 of them non stop to make posters. Pretty cool.

    the media cost was why I went to a solvent machine. The roll of coated banner material was like 200 dollars. That was for a 3' x 75' roll. You can get a solvent roll 38"x165' for half that cost.

    Sihl's Tprint is what roland uses for their transfer. Fellers has the poly release material that you need to use with it. If you use anything else, it ruins the prints.
