I hear you on the bar Artbot. I still use it. I've had dampers lift off the head manifold.
The large screen dampers are the same height as the normal dampers they have a larger screen to allow a larger volume of ink to pass.
I'm not talking about the BIG dampers (aj 1000) that have...
This has plagued my roland 745 since day one. Regardless of OEM or aftermarket inks.
It's a constant battle, but I've had this problem licked for a few years now.
First thing is to use large screen dampers. (ebay or solventinkonline) I do not get drop on on eight pass or more, but on...
I too have an imageedge. I like it. It's awesome for cutting coro and foamcore.

You could have one one on hand if she blows up down the road.
My Roland motor has a life of around 1500 hours. I replaced mine at 2300 hrs because it...
Congrats. We want blow-by-blow updates on this thing. Post video of it running too. I'm excited and it's not even my printer. haha. such a print-nerd I am.
Slightly off topic, but has to do with Roland.
The fuji heat controller in my 745 died. I called Roland for some tech help. They told me that the Fuji controller was $2,000 dollars and that they don't have them in stock. They couldn't get them and that I'd need to find a used roland...
