  1. Your Rides

nice boss! What I'm building. I'm not to the stage of putting the body on yet. This pic is from the kit builder. I'm still prepping the rolling chassis. I hope to get the body on it this year.
  2. Come take this piece of junk

Great News Insignia! I've been following your progress with this machine since day one. I'm happy that your problems are resolved. I'm not happy it took this long to fix it. I've had my fair share of bad dealer experiences too. Most of the dealers just don't know jack about these...
  3. Norway says hello!

    Welcome!
  4. Mimaki Latex printer

@sightline I like where yer heads at. For 4500.00 that head better be able to be used as a sanding block to buff out a car, then go back in the printer and keep running.
  5. I love my Mimaki.

That is outstanding head life. On the 5500 I had, it was a miracle if I could get three carts out of one head. So it looks like the heads will last a very long time and when they go, they cost 100.00 to replace. That's the cats ***. What about the cleaning station doo-dad?
  6. Mimaki Latex printer

4500.00 i just fell out of my chair. that's a joke. NO THANKS.
  7. I love my Mimaki.

I'll admit it. I was on the hp site yesterday looking at the L26500.
  8. I love my Mimaki.

What's the head to cart replacement ratio? I about one in three? How often are you changing out your waste tank things?
  9. I love my Mimaki.

I love my eco-sol (Roland) too. I feel that most of the guys that upgraded to an HP had a lower level eco-sol printer. Basic print/cut machines, stuff like that. Shops with big printers aren't going to downsize to a consumables monster like an HP. My printer runs on liter bottles that...
  10. Black is printing to heavy

+1. These printers have a lot of variables. Not a point and shoot device.
  11. ...Service Mode Code not working...

Down, right, left, up Right, down, left Hold down in sequence, left, down, right + power.
  12. ...Service Mode Code not working...

Your timing is off. If you get the protected error, your doing it right, but at the wrong speed. The key sequence should be a fluid motion. The process should take about three to four seconds.
  13. Looking for a good paper supplier in the northeast

Lexjet does have very good customer service, I found that most of their products are substandard for my business. They had to refund 80% of my orders due to damaged products, bad vinyl rolls, etc.
  14. Looking for a good paper supplier in the northeast

Dunder Mifflin is in PA. Sorry. Couldn't help it.
  15. Multiple feed rolls behind Inkjet?

    gene, that's pretty cool.
  16. Massage logo

very nice. my wife went to school to be a massage therapist, but just works on me now. sweet. she had a lotus blossom in her logo. Massage therapists love putting plants in their logos. :rock-n-roll:
  17. Attn: L26500 Owners

Pretty funny video. HP didn't show the long boot up time, or warm up time. They also didn't show the carriage belt snapping off in the middle of the print. I print double sided prints all the time on the roland. It's pretty simple. Definitely not as simple as the HP, but that video...
  18. Printing not straight

correct. clean the strip and sensor. you will be good to go. Make sure you turn off the unit and unplug it before doing any work.
  19. Test Print means what?

There is so much content in this thread now that I can't keep track of what has been done, etc. If I'm repeating other replies, I'm sorry. Just wanted to throw some other ideas out there. You may need a service mode bi-dir calibration and horizontal calibration. Also, try turning down...
  20. Test Print means what?

The deflection is minor. I think a head soak would clear it up. I've never cleared a deflection with a direct swab swipe of the head. A direct swipe has never made it worse, so it's something to try. It won't hurt the head. Static is bad for printing. You must have a humidifier going...
