I was told Fuji made/makes the inks for Roland. Sun Chemical is a heavy hitter, but I hadn't heard they made ink for Roland. I'm sure that there is someone here in "the know".
So I have an old 745ex that is going out of whack on the feed calibration. I feel like the motor is going, but I need to figure out a way calibrate the feed.
When I load of a new roll of media I'm getting close to the +2.00% just to get the calibration right and then I'm out of calibration...
That's weak. At the end of the day I feel like every printer that is made doesn't come close to performing like it is advertised.
Everyone has problems with all their machines regardless of manufacturer or price.
I had a problem running a good purple last week without horrible banding/ink...
Does it look like ink fade? My Roland does this at times. Dives me nuts. I don't think there's a fix for ink fade. It's a problem with the dx4 head. One thing that can help with ink fade is increasing overall ink output in the profile. I've found that saturation at or above 200% usually...
WHAAAATTTTT!, What, WHAT, WHAAAATTTT!
Are you kidding me. I think I would flip my lid on that one.
I was pissed that a Fotoba main board for my cutter was 3500.00 and it was just a 60.00 board. (thankfully the fotoba is under warranty)
That is beyond disgusting.
fill test in service mode.
it prints 100% ink from one head at a time @ 720x720. This way you can isolate what head is acting up. If you run anything through VW it will mix inks accordingly to and iCC profile.
Guys. I don't know squat about flatbed printing other than the basics.
This hybrid seems pretty sweet, but as with all printers they never are as good as they seem.
What are the operating costs on this machine. How's the print quality and speed for sellable prints. Can you do aftermarket...
I get into huge blow out fights with UPS about every two years. They like to suspend my account without telling me.
I won't receive one invoice, and two months later, UPS doesn't notify me or call for payment, or a heads up. They just shut me down. Then when I call to find out why I...
Jim,
Let us know what happens when you put in the new captop. I'd love to see test prints of CMYK.
Or get into the service menu and do a fill test pattern.
If the o-ring is wet with ink or the manifold has ink, the dampers have a tendency to lift off the head manifold. If you're not around when this happens you're head if firing w.out ink = blown head/headboard.
I would rig up some kind of fastener to ensure they stay down.
Adjust the interval further apart and make sure you are on a light clean. A normal clean takes forever. Light clean takes my machine about 20 seconds.
The factory settings for periodic cleaning is a normal cleaning which is a huge waste of ink and time.
I'm a Roland guy all the way. I love my machine. Personally I don't think the print quality is any better on the latex machines. I have a ton of samples from HP and my Roland looks just as good. The latex print scratches too.
Both machines have positive points. HP can print on fabric...
wow - 26 gs6000's. Please post photos of the problem.
You said you're missing large chunks during nozzle tests. I bet epson would get some new heads in those machines asap.
that is outstanding news! What an amazing thing to have accomplished.
I've been trying hard to do this, but I just can't seem to get over the hump.
I had a card paid off and then my machine broke down a couple times last year and the card was maxed out again.
I'm chipping away each...
