I did a search to no avail.
I have an Apple machine that I installed Windows XP via parallels and am trying to run my Mimaki via the firewire with it. I got everything installed and RasterLink installed but when I go to setup the printer via the Firwire in Printer Manager it doesn't show the...
Call the guy they where stolen from to confirm and kindly decline the job.
If you don't know it is one thing. Had this happen with some realtor signs in the past.
Thanks,
Kurt
How about Oracal 3651? We use this all the time. We print on matte for better color and if final finish needs gloss we just laminate it. You can get it at Advantage as well. Highly recommend it for general purpose stuff.
Thanks,
Kurt
Anyone know how to check how much ink you have in Onyx? I know my printer has a deal on the screen but it would be nice to know in the RIP software how much ink each cartridge has in it at any given time.
Thanks,
Kurt
Hey all,
In the market for a little inkjet printer to do some small gernal printing such as invoices comps etc. Nothing fancy. Just general little paper printer.
I have always bought Epson in the past because I really like their products. The problem I have is everytime I go buy ink it is...
+++++1 This is ture, they cannot tell you how long something is going to last until it has been out that long. I have never had a failure on the materials part from either Oracal or 3M or Avery wrap vinyl for that matter. All others steer clear from. Even if it has an 8 yr claim I typically tell...
Why not apply the vinyl to a substrate such as Alumalite or something and then mount it in the carwash. I would agree with Gino, this is what it looks like. You could always take it a step further and laminate over the board after the vinyl is mounted to the substrate.
A couple of extra steps...
Amen, I learned this lesson even though I used it properly. Cast only from here on out and if your budget doesn't allow you can go to one of the local hacks who will gladly whore themselves out for pennies...
Back to Oracal and 3M. It is a much happier place anyways.
Thanks,
Kurt
Thanks for the info Chopper. I did know this before hand so we made sure our installers where careful with it. I still don't think this is what would make the adhesive separate from the vinyl but it is good info none the less.
And yes I agree, most of our stuff is done using cast vinyl for this...
No "offense" taken. What my point here is I used "their" vinyl to spec and it failed not what is right or wrong.
Either way more than anything this is a warning to others not to make the same mistake.
Thanks for everyone's opinions. I too have heard good things about the Arlon XRP, but you can...
Yes, A quote is only as good as the project quoted. If they change anything the price changes, sorry that is how it works. If I order a 25 sq ft. chuck of granite and get a quote and they decide to change it to 35 sq ft I would imagine the price is going to change.
Either do it and lose your...
Yes definitely not the cleaning methods or installation. We had 100's of vehicle graphics and wraps out there and the only ones that have ever failed where using anything from ARLON. whether it is calendared or cast.
I mean we have always used it to spec. We are not rookies when it comes to...
This particular one is 4560 GTX with 3420 lam. Have had the same problem with the 6000 and 3220 lam as well. Doesn't matter, stuff is crap.
Thanks,
Kurt
So it seems Arlon is the new Avery. We have had tons of problems with this stuff over the past 2 years and this is the latest. So a bit of warning if you like replacing graphics after 6 mos to a year for free constantly head on out and buy this.
As you can see the adhesive has separated from...
And call stickers Deckels?
I have a very good friend from Canada that ordered some Deckels.. I laughed because I had no idea what he was talking about....
Regarding that pic above. So they install windows and sidewalks and do lettering? All to typical of what we see these days...
Thanks,
Kurt
Yes, we typically take this week off. Chances are normally that we are very slow and don't miss much anyways. Figure it as sort of a "refresher" before the big show starts again in January.
Thanks,
Kurt
You are better off emailing some of our merchant members about quoting this than you are asking pricing on the open forum. A lot of people don't like to discuss pricing here....
Check out the merchant member section and check with some of them.
Thanks,
Kurt
