I've been round and round with the city too. Windslits was one of them as they insisted. I figured the town engineer would love the wind load calculations I showed them, didn't matter. They're just covering their asses.
Just now had a customer walk in with a few signs we did with the word Hazzards. Yeah sure, forum spell checker shows it as wrong, CorelDRAW doesn't. Only 4 signs, cut vinyl, I got lucky. :)
I tell them every grommet hole must be used for proper installation. They are there for a reason and if it wasn't installed properly, you can't be held responsible. I'd offer a nice discount on a replacement banner to hopefully keep the city happy.
That's the material I linked above. Used it, works great.
I've had trouble with latex paint, had to redo it with lettering enamel. Might have been the viscosity right out of the can though.
I hate painting. Mostly the challenge of the cut vinyl template adhering to the canopy. I've switched to http://www.sailmakerssupply.com/prod_detail_list/39 and love it. Cuts like regular old cut vinyl and applies the same way.
I did just that slapakiss for the front doormat at the house, though I used carpet die mixed with water in a spray bottle. Picked up a cheap mat from Home Depot and did the Arizona state flag on the top and name on the bottom.
We've used Arlon 4560 on windows. Even with the nearly black adhesive, it still let some light through. Works very well, not blotchy at all, but you can see the image in reverse on the inside. I'm sure the 3m would be similar. It won't block out all the light, but kills the glare very well and...
I purchased the Photoshop version from Steve Yates Graphics a couple years ago, but haven't installed it.

We faxed our free order form over 2 days ago and haven't heard a thing. Figured we'd give it a shot on a company vehicle and see if the problems from years back have been fixed.
We've printed on the 3640 and laminated with the matching lam without incident several times. You have old and yellowed faces, any "swirls in the adhesive" (which I've never seen) can't be an issue. Edge curling can't be seen unless extreme, as the cabinet holding the face is in contact. If the...
Flexi Sign Pro 8.6v2, I import a label, add a contour cut to it, send it to Production Manager, tell it I want multiple copies and I get a set of 4 crop marks around each and every label. Have to go back to Flexi and step and repeat then go to PM. Make for biggerer files and wastes time.
Are you clearing out old jobs in production manager after printing? A tech that was remote operating my computer during initial setup saw I had 8 or 9 jobs still in PM and he told me that could create issues
Over-all size is 12 high by 9 wide. Either vector line or high res is fine. Just printing black ink on vinyl, contour cutting around the outside, and applying to truck doors. Thanks.
