Soo you ARE trying to get people worked up... Well the nice thing about this forum is that this thread isn't just about you. Whether you intended to or not, a thread that appears to have been started just to get people worked up, will serve as a great learning resource for a lot of people...
:goodpost: I agree. The only issue I have is that it makes it increasingly more difficult to convince clients that a sign shop doesn't just produce a product when people in our own industry seem to believe that is all we do. It isn't something I worry too much about though, because I believe...
No I meant "inherit" as in genetics:
inherit [ɪnˈhɛrɪt]
3. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Genetics) (tr) to possess (a characteristic) through genetic transmission
I've seen a few posts lately about skill or talent being inherited. But is it? Are you born with artistic ability or is it something you develop?
I believe it may be a bit of both but I lean towards the idea that it is learned behavior.
Obviously no one can say for sure, but I'm...
College is extremely valuable in some ways and not in others. Courses based on subjects dealing with constantly changing technology and trends aren't as useful in my eyes because colleges just can't seem to keep up. They are teaching you year old or older practices that are outdated buy the...
Yes it does!:thumb:
I just did a search and found the older post you were talking about too. That was also helpful. Before I just searched in the "Computer Hardware" section but I found one in the General Sign Making section.
The one thing I don't like about the Modbook or Motion Tablet PC is...

Yeah go to the doctor, better safe than sorry. I guess the hini flu really effects the respiratory system. If you are having a hard time breathing definitely get yourself to the doctor. I guess even if there was no h1n1, I would still go to the doctor if i was having a hard time breathing...
GK, Border, Thanks so much for the help. Unfortunately I don't have as much control as I need with those options. The one only seems to convert it to 96 dpi, and the other method changes the dimensions too.
jhilldesigns, and artist4christ.... That is exactly what I needed. Thank you! I'm...
I actually don't own Photoshop strangely enough. I have Illy on my mac, just for testing my logos and designs on that system, but I mainly use Corel software on my PC. Anybody know how to do this on Corel? I know things like this can be done in Corel, but I have never done it.
So I'm working on this website for our town's tourism department. http://www.pontiacmurals.com/
...the photos I'm using were taking by this amazing local photographer. The problem is there are a lot of them and they are all 240dpi. If I can get them down to 72dpi I can cut the load time by...
I don't see why you can't archive the look you are going for and also have it pass the squint test. If you know it is hard to read, why wouldn't you want to fix that? It wouldn't be hard to do at all. Just mess around with your color values.
