Hi. You can use any rip. It's very easy to set up, no problem to do it yourself. The take-up is just a pipe with a couple of shitty plastic junk things on, you can probably make better ones yourself if you have access to a lathe and some PP plastic material.

If you're happy with 7.6, I don't see any reason to upgrade, as long as you're able to open files designed in newer versions. 7.6 does not have drivers for our new printer, that was one of our reasons for upgrading.
