I guess most reflective is not meant to be brinted on. To get a good result, I believe you depend on the ink to partially dissolve the media you are printing on. The stronger the solvent, the better the ink dissolves the media, ie the ink goes deeper. SS2 ink is low solvent, and dissolves...

Just try with whatever profile works for regular vinyl. Not like it's going to be photo quality on reflective anyway, as the reflective will bleed through. Works great though!

You can reset the date in your printer to allow using the cartridge after the date on the cartridge, by removing and replacing the memory battery. Search this forom for how-to. Then you will never have a problem with the date again.

Hi. Thanks for your thanks re the battery! Ive seen this a few times after near empty cartridges with the printer not running cleaning cycles. We have gotten them all back with strong cleanings; just make sure to only clean head 3 and 4 to not waste too much ink.

I have been getting a few inquiries how to reset the date in JV3's, to enable using up all the ink. Many users are frustrated by having to replace their cartridges before empty, due to date expiration. This is not necessary. Also, we always "add 30 cc" when printer says "near end"...

Our Mimaki prints Magenta heavy with standard profiles, Both in FlexiSign and Rasterlink, so we just reduce Magenta in the rip, usually just specify 80% magenta, other colors 100%, and everything is pretty OK. Hope this helps?
