I'm going to watch this thread to see what develops. If the printer actually delivers on print speeds, quality, reliability, etc...it will rock the market. Especially if they make smaller less expensive units.

I'll stick with their 6000XRP for now. Don't want to be a beta tester.

It might be your media. Just had that happen. So much static it was sticking to the stand. When you'd pull it away from the stand it crackled. I'd bet with the lights off it would have made quite a show. Previous to that it was the encoder sensor causing light areas/streaking in the print...

Thanks to everyone that gave suggestions. I think I'll pass on the job as It seems there is still no consensus on what works 90+% of the time. I don't think the client wants to pay for at ton of testing either. I have plenty of other work without opening a can of worms.

Client called, and the graphics they installed fell off the wall after a few days. I asked, and he confirmed it was painted 3 weeks ago with latex paint. I know this has been beat to death in the past, but technology moves on. I also did an advanced search here, which turned up a lot of things...

Roland VersaUV might work. We have one in the lab at school and I've seen some package prototypes that were done on it. I haven't run it yet. Best best is to talk to someone that owns one.
