How about a Fujitsu fi6800? It will scan 130 pages per minute and doesn't have a printer attached.

HA! I've got the Canon MP250 and I only paid $28 for it. It's 10 better and $1 less! Seriously, I disconnected a very expensive professional scanner and replaced it with the Canon. Technology has pushed scanners into two categories....really cheap and really expensive. Really cheap works...

If you modify the bottom right of the G it looks like Freshman.

Never done it with the brackets but my first concern would be the wind ripping the bolts through the MaxMetal. The stuff just does not handle much stress at all. A quick frame between the two posts so you could secure it all the way around would be better in my opinion.
